This was by far the worst pizza I've ever had in my life! And my husband 100% agrees. We ordered a Philly cheese pizza. We picked up our first piece of pizza and it was not possible to hold it because the middle was so soggy. The crust is too thin and the rest of the crust as you eat it is harder and chewier like overcooked pita bread. The edge of the crust was way overdone and blackened. The so-called steak was so overcooked that you couldn't even bite it with your teeth. Like shoe leather! There was barely any sauce and you could pretty much say almost no cheese. Either the meat or the sauce had a garam masala flavor to it. That ruined it further. There were also way too many peppers in relation to the meat. This was a $15 Pizza that was worth no more than $5. We also had parmesan garlic wings. Extremely overdone, very small and not worth $10 whatsoever. One of us wanted blue cheese dressing and the other one wanted ranch. The wings were $7.99 for eight of them but we were charged $10, I guess because of the dressings. Terrible experience. Will never go back again. Only the thing we can say is that the server was nice. Let's also mention that the pizza came out in 5 minutes and the wings didn't come out until we were halfway done with the pizza. A...
Read moreMy husband and I recently started getting food from ZaZa and it's definitely one of our new favorite places. We've had excellent experiences here each time and by now we've ordered various things. The menu is vast -- the falafel sandwiches are the best around hands down, the gyro is divine and their wood-fired pizzas are delicious and fresh every time. Appreciate that all the meat is halal and that there are vegan and vegetarian options. My husband says the food here tastes the closest to the restaurant food from his hometown overseas that he's found at restaurants around the Toledo area, and that means a lot to him. The environment is clean, atmosphere is really nice and the staff is always warm, welcoming and friendly. Owner is very pleasant and courteous. They will honor special requests when they can. Watching the staff/chefs cook and prepare food I've noticed how careful and attentive to detail they are while consistently keeping the cooking area and equipment clean (we hugely appreciate this) and making the food in a swift, timely manner. This is clearly fresh food that proves itself. We'll certainly keep...
Read moreWe were on our way back from Monroe Michigan and this place was recommended. Soon as I walked in I immediately knew this was authentic Mediterranean. You can see the brick oven ( I later asked the man said about 750 degrees) and they have picture menus so you can see what you are getting. (HALAL) It is VERY WELL PRICED for the food you get!! My boyfriend thought my head was gonna explode i was so excited....It was delicious and crunchy and perfect! 100% the best pizza I have ever had in my 44 yrs on this planet. I've never been to Europe but I don't think this pizza would disappoint anyone from anywhere.
We ordered the #6 Greca, #16 BBQ Chicken( ordered this one to go and didn't get any pictures of it..Sorry) and #29 Carne, the Falafel and Baklava. It was all fantastic. It was all the real deal Mediterranean flavors and the Baklava....the Baklava was to die for...it was a large piece, sticky and sweet. So glad I got 2 pieces!
We are gonna be going to Monroe regularly and we will definitely definitely be stopping here again and without a doubt I would HIGHLY recommend this place. ( if you...
