Waited until the grand opening crowd died down before we decided to try out Bojangles on a Saturday evening in late March. We’ve heard great things about their chicken and was very eager to try it out. We were all surprised to find out that it’s another chicken strip place, when there is already so many around the area.
When we came in, only one family was seated at the time. We were in line with one family right in front of us waiting to place their order. I literally saw 4 people behind the counter look at us and no one ever came to take orders. The family in front of us left out of frustration. We came up to the counter and immediately called out for someone to take our order. A young man step up. Either it was too loud from all the yelling in the kitchen for him to hear, or he had hearing problems, because I had to repeat part of my order 3 times just to get a family meal, sides, and sauces ordered.
The order came out fast for a 16 piece, hot and fresh. No plates were given so I went up to the counter to ask for plates, though I stood there for about 10 minutes with no one acknowledging me since everyone was so busy bickering at each other that I had to yell “excuse me” pretty loudly just to get someone to give me some plates.
While we were eating, it was constant yelling and arguing between all the staff members. Lady manager in the brown shirt just yelling at everyone, drive thru guy in the black shirt arguing back, others in red shirts yelling back at the guy and others. I couldn’t really understand what was going on, but all the yelling, screaming, and arguing going on for 30 minutes since we arrived sounded very rude to each other and very unprofessional. It made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere so my family just packed it up and left. Didn’t bother asking for a bag since they’ll just ignore me anyway and I didn’t feel like getting in their way.
As for the food, the chicken was good, seasoned well, very moist, flavorful, and the fried batter was soft crispy. It could be eaten without any sauce. It actually made me think of Popeyes for some reason. Biscuits were good. The Mac and cheese was creamy. The fries were fine, nothing spectacular. The legendary tea was no legend, it’s like any other ordinary tea, but that’s fine.
With the poor customer service, lack of attention, uncomfortable atmosphere and unprofessionalism, I’ll just stick to Raising Canes. As a matter of fact, I think Bojangles actually just made me want to go try Popeyes chicken fingers to fulfill my southern zing instead.
Good try Bojangles, but this one was a...

Read moreVisited there yesterday and ordered a 12-piece meal with 2 large coleslaws, large fries, AND 2 extra biscuits with lemonade. I got home to feed my family and my elderly mother only to realize the biscuits were burnt, coleslaw spoiled and the fries cold and extremely salty. They made us wait in the number 2 spot for this meal to be remade for at least 25 minutes. My mom, who ate quite a bit of the slaw, stomach was hurting instantly. I called the store immediately to report what happened and stopped everyone from eating. Ashley who identified herself as the manager said, "no problem bring your receipt tomorrow and I will refund you". I offered to bring back the food the next day and she told me that it was not necessary, only after I threw the food out is when I learned apparently bringing it back was extremely necessary. I went there tonight as promised to get my refund and the manager told me they cannot give refunds without food. Then proceeded to offer me the same meal, as though eating some spoiled food will make me want to eat or trust to eat anything from them anytime soon. Then the workers gave me the head manager's phone number to call on the phone to tell me the same thing. The head manager said that she is going to talk to the other manager to make sure she knows they do not give refunds. The head manager then told me that it is not her problem that I was told the wrong information by a manager and that my only option was to have new food made, even though I was promised something different.... THESE UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGERS ARE NOT GOOD WITH HANDLING ANY CUSTOMER RELATED ISSUES. THEY ARE NOT TRAINED IN RESOLVING AND KEEPING CUSTOMERS HAPPY, AND NOT KNOWLEDGABLE ON THEIR OWN POLICIES. I NOW SEE WHY THIS PLACE HAS A 2 STAR REVIEW. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I WILL NOT...
