Newly opens about a year and a half. My husband wanted to try but not able too. Left a regret for me that in an opportunity today I try. When walked in, it is clean and bright 8 meant well lit. Old fashion square tables Not with checker box table cloth made feeling more like familiar village cafe or restaurant. Homey is what I emphasised on and feel easy relax.
I ordered a chocked salad blt with broccoli and grapes salad, and a potatoes soup. Chicken salad is fine grated with fibre texture chewing with toasted bread. Something different than chucky pieces of chicken meat with mayannoise. A slice really thin slice of tomato that my husband sure complain. A Waverly lettuce leave separated chicken salad and well prepared bacon. When bite on, it really less messy that smashed out juicy chicken salad or drop off pieces of crunchy bacon stripes on the plate. Technically a nice bite tasted better and arrogant if allowed me to say. I like the grapes salad with Chow eyes sides of grapes mixed around smaller ones coated with smooth liquidity mayannoise. The chef coated on top a likely fine sugar added up the taste buds especially you like sweet. I passed now with health concerns. Broccoli salad if allowed me to suggest, add a little chopped onion and lemon juice. Well, those who dislike onion and soury please do help your taste buds happy. For mine, my last comment on potatoes soup is definitely my husband favor. The creamy of the soup with chunks of softly cooked potatoes really unstoppped spooned in. The bacon bits added to a smooth oilly surface on the soup that add to the spoonful of creamy potatoes soup.
For my friend, Turkey ham with crossent horn bread, tomato basil soup, pasta salad and have no heard of any comments.
Last, the signature cookies of chicken salad looks marvelous on Christmas and New Year season.
Only I complain is the cashier kind of delay my ready orders on the counter while complete serving other customers. To me, I felt I m color. Did I? Or I should dress up professionally to avoid this treatment in any restaurant or should I tip well in order for in time deliver my ordrrs? EITHER OF THESE or neither of them. I m who I am and I pay for what I should get as of same quality and quantitative services from all restaurants. Happy holidays you all. Stay safe, stay calm, stay with Covid guidelines to help ourselves. The covid is just stepping into another year of glamorous if allow me to describe it this way. Thankful for your reading in my...
Read moreWaited about 10 minutes in line behind one customer to order. When it was finally my turn, I was told they were out of egg salad. It was 3 in the afternoon. Not a positive experience for my first time here. *UPDATE: Have tried this location 3 more times. 1ST VISIT - Online order, drove 30 minutes to the restaurant only to be told they never got my order and that the dessert I ordered was no longer available and should not have been on the website to order in the first place. Had to wait for them to make everything. Food was good when we finally got it. 2ND VISIT - Ate in the restaurant. Very good food. 3RD VISIT - Phone order - Ordered egg salad & 2 Chicken Salad Sandwiches - Instead of telling me when I placed the order they didn't have egg salad (Again), they waited until we went to pick up the order. They also put Oreo cookies with the chicken salad sandwiches. I guess they ran out of their own buttercream cookies. Even though the food is good (when you actually get to eat it), there are too many other issues for me to go back - Lack of product (egg salad & buttercream cookies), technology fails (internet orders not going through and website menu not updated) and employees taking phone orders that have no idea what is...
Read moreThe food and staff is amazing but it's always in house issues I've noticed a lot of mangers leave the last real good one that actually cares about this place was the guy nate! I actually saw him the other day he was in amazing place in his life! He told me the reason why people are quiting or have quit is because upper management not the in house management he told me he got a write up once cause he was sick littlerly throwing up and still had to show up to work to open and the catering manager thought he was being super rude but he couldn't haven't even been there. Also anytime the head manger "Michelle" called she would end up making the other mangers cry from his words he was tired of feeling like crap and having so much stress that he just gave up now he has a manger that actually cares and if he messes up she don't scream they have an honest conversation... I won't ever go back here I've heard almost the same story from other manger and some of them are current mangers working at vintage amd spring so y'all loss me and others...
