This place is outrageous! We took a chance on a rather big inconvenience not knowing anything about Christopher's. Our group was searching for a convenient location to have a fun night of food, drink, and entertainment. We were off to a bad start. The Pub's poor communications logistics is very frustrating. For instance, the restaurant's phone number went, and as of today still does, go straight to voicemail, which is always full. The FB page and the venue's website events calendar page do not show if any live entertainment is scheduled. And since you can't get someone to speak to, it makes you not want to head there if you are looking for live music. And sure, there was some sketchiness at the Pub proper. I got hit with a blast of potent weed. I'm bald af, but my eye brows twitched from it. NOW...let me tell you. In spite of its challenges, none of which are insurmountable, this place is a niche little gem. It has a cool vibe too it. It's easy too meet other patrons. For the most part, the people were friendly. The staff were great. The Lenny Davis Band...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Amazing! Everybody has a blast. We were dancing like fools. So...to Pub Management. Please just address the phone and Events Calendar issue. Maybe find a designated weed smoking area. Other than that ...good times ..good times!!!

TOMS RIVER: We are happy a local told us about Christopher's Pub & Grill Toms River because it is the type of bar where everybody knows your name. More than just a hotel bar at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Toms River, Christopher’s is a great spot to meet up with friends, enjoy a friendly environment, indulge in a meal from an American-style food menu & a full-bar menu, and bring your well behaved and leashed pup along (the hotel is also dog friendly!). The menu is full of favorites and the environment has warm tones.

After pickup supplies from Lowes and Home Depot, yesterday for my next outdoor project with help from Amanda, son in law - Joe and their new truck. Went out for a late lunch - dinner. Enjoyable atmosphere, friendly people and good food. Today it was pizza for me, onion soup, house salad and curly fries with gravy. Kit, Amanda and Joe each had a hamburger, crunchy chicken sandwich and a tuna melt.

My wife was passing through town on business and stop at this establishment for a drink and something to eat. When she walked in she immediately got stared at by the bartender and the patrons, she paid them no mind and walked to the bar and ordered a drink, Johnnie Walker Black to be exact. When the bartender brought her the drink she rudely stated you know this drink is $8 don't you? My wife responded I didn't ask you the price I just requested what I wanted. the bartender walked away and started talking to someone else while looking back repeatedly at my wife, making her feel uncomfortable. A couple of gentleman were sitting next to my wife and were making rude comments about her which cause her to leave. My wife went back to her hotel room and called me saying how racist the people were, I did not mention we are African American, so this happens more than you can imagine. Please avoid these types of establishments, there is no room for racism and bigotry and hatred in this country. I give this place a thumbs down, I would not give it even a single star if there was a choice. If you are a minority or a person who does not agree with bigotry, hatred and prejudice then do not go to this establishment. Spend your money wisely support love, peace, justice...

Read reviews for Christopher's Pub and decided to give it a try for my birthday. It's smaller on the inside than I expected, but The Grove restaurant is right next door. Our party of 6 was seated right away. I felt sorry for the waitress as she was the only server on. She handled the table well. Appetizers came out hot. The calamari was decent with a nice size portion. Nachos and wingd were good too. I had a turkey club which was ok. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. The best part of the night was listening to the live band Sonny and Company. They were fabulous and gracious to sing a birthday song for me. I hope they get a nice following here at the Jersey Shore as they deserve recognition. Plus they are a nice group of people. Overall it was a great evening spent having some decent food and listening to a...
