Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Topeka

I waited in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes during my lunch break with only two vehicles in front of me. When I pulled up to the window I was given my total. I informed the cashier that my total was incorrect and that I was being overcharged. The cashier rudely disagreed and pointed out that I had added a piece of fish to my meal and told me that the extra piece of fish was $1.89. I then informed the cashier that Long John Silver's menu states that you can add a piece of fish or chicken for $1.00, and that I always add a piece for $1 which is how I knew my total was off. She then rudely told me that I didn't have to be rude about it, however, I was not being rude about anything she was simply irritated that I was right about being overcharged. At this point I told her that I no longer wanted my lunch. After all, I had just waited in line for over 20 minutes in line to be overcharged and disrespected.

The manager did not properly address the situation. He was more bothered by the fact that a "customer" wanted to speak with him during lunch rush rather than being concerned about the way that the cashier was treating customers.

After wasting my entire lunch break setting in Long John Silver's drive thru line and driving away without food of any kind; I was forced to return to work without lunch.

I live near this location, making it the location to which I primarily go. The place seems to be exclusively staffed by imbeciles and vacant people. They will stand around between customers during off-peak time while the floor, tables, bathroom, seating remain filthy. Like really filthy; the floor is often a grease slick. The tables are nasty, caked with grime. Though I recently brought lysol wipes with me and cleaned some myself. The food is too often inexplicably cold or greasy like it's been fried at the wrong temp, or old then double-dipped to be hot, but not fresh. About half the time the coleslaw is of questionable freshness, which is disappointing because I love the coleslaw. I have no clue how anyone could legitimately give it 5 stars unless they only come through the drive through and have had the luck to only get fresh food when they come, probably only during peak time. The landscaping could do to be improved. There were some "volunteer" plants that had been growing wild along the north side of the building, but those have been cut down. There needs to be some maintained bushes, flowers, some small trees along the parking on the south side; something intention and planed. I can't stand business owners in Topeka, they're just...

Service was terrible told her what I wanted, she mumbled the number back and what it was and I said shrimp fish chicken dinner and the sides what ever number it was order came wrong took it back up to counter and she argued with me and said I repeated the order to you then I told her what I wanted again she argued some more with me and then argued with cook saying I repeated the order to him not my fault etc etc and the food looked like it was leftover from lunch time shriveled up shrimp, fish etc totally unhappy with the hole deal, tried to dump trash in trash cans both falling out full and there was no other customers in lobby the hole time understand why for sure those kids are always out in the parking lot smoking whatever it is there smoking every time we go there food never seems to be fresh I will NEVER go back to that establishment and drive 10 miles around to the other Ljs to have a better meal and service for sure, btw her name was Micah H little Mexican girl, I'm 58 years old and from a small town and never been treated like that out of all the time I've eaten out and food to matched and food was $16.60...
