I love this ice cream shop so much. I go about once a week usually with a few of my friends. I am 16 years old and I usually never have a problem there. But last night one of my friends and I road our bikes up there at about 9:40. When we got there we nicely walked in side and waited for our turn. When it was my turn I walked up to the girl at the counter and ordered what I get every single time I go to sweet jenny’s; a baby cone half black-raspberry half peanut butter in a sugar cone. Even though the baby cone is supposed to be 12&under, I get the baby because I could not finish a whole single due to the richness of the two flavors. I am will to pay the price for a single every time I get the baby because I understand that the baby is supposed to be for 12 and under. Well last night after I ordered the owner was checking someone else out right next to me and over heard what I ordered then proceeded to harasses me about how I “looked very big for a 12 year old” and “what was I going todo when I turned 13” I then told him that “I was will to pay for the single, I just can’t eat a whole one” which I think this is pretty fair because they are saving ice cream and making more money then the amount is worth. He then kept coming at me talking about how I it was odd that I was 12. I never said anything along the line of being 12 or under 12. I willing admitted that I was older than 12 but I didn’t see the harm in giving me a smaller size for the same amount of money as a single. I felt taken advantage of because of my age because I know if an adult ask for a baby he would have not reacted that way. I felt that he could have taken a different approach like asking me how old I was or tell me that they can do that but that I would have to pay for a single. I just was disappointed in the way I was treated because I felt that I did nothing wrong. The girl that was serving me ended up giving me a baby but charged me for a single which was fine. I just think that kinder actions could...

Read moreWe ended up stumbling on this place entirely by chance, while wandering around and simply googling "best ice cream near me". Now, I'm typically not one to trust google (despite relying so heavily on it), but am sure glad I did on this occasion, because we ended up having some of the very best ice cream we've ever had, anywhere (including our hometown, Toronto, but also in other major North American metropolitan cities, as well as in the EU). The owners are some of the warmest folks we've met, and are mad geniuses with the flavours they concoct inside this beautiful 200+ year old marvel of a building. We ended up having about 5-6 different flavours, each one better than the last (or, more realistically, of an equally superlative calibre, merely just different). I love how they incorporate the ingredients so thoroughly, making the flavours taste like what they're supposed to taste like- not just in some lazy topical way which many other places do. The quality is objectively extremely high, and I cannot wait to visit again, so as to acquaint myself with other flavours. And as incredible as the their sweets and ice cream are, what really stole my whole heart was checking out the incredible comic book/action figure/arcade game collection upstairs, owned by the same evil genius who makes the incredible ice cream. Man, that was a walk down nostalgia lane... Talk of flavours, anyone seeking a big hit of nostalgia ought to make the trek to this Buffalo gem and hit up the upstairs after basking in the frozen sweet nectar downstairs. So glad to have...
