Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

Iv came to this location a few times but today was bad. I ordered my usual Chicken quesadilla that came out good as always, but lets get down to the shake. at every other location I have been to I always ask for my shake to be double blended just so there are no floating pieces in my shake. But that was taken to a whole other level today. The shake had absolutely no thickness to it at all, it was almost water, then I walked up to the counter and showed them that the shake is to watery. When the associate turned to the shift manager and called her over the shift manager got a bit aggressive with me saying that when you double blended it, it will get thinner. I tried to explain that it had no thickness to it but was ignored so for the sake of argument I sat back down and drunk my watery shake very, very upset I eat at a tropical smoothie Cafe every day for lunch and I have never been so disappointed like I am today when having my lunch meal. I don't want to lose faith in tropical smoothie but if they hand out watery shakes I should rethink another place to have my lunch because today...

I’ve ordered from here several times and they could honestly be doing better. This last time I ordered from there I arrived at the time my order was supposed to be ready and they didn’t even have the sticker pulled yet from the machine. There was no customers in the place and they were all just standing around talking. One girl asked if I had an order, I said yes, and she said oh yeah just got it. Definitely not because I got the “order received “ email 10 minutes prior. Then I watched my smoothie sit ready in the blender for another 3 minutes while she went in the back, What’s the point of ordering a head if they haven’t even started it by the time you get there?

Aside from that, the first time I ordered from there I ordered a Caesar wrap, and the lettuce was entirely brown throughout the wrap. There’s no reason they should be putting brown lettuce on wraps that are supposed to be fresh.

I’ll probably just be making these at home...

I went to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe yesterday 6/2 at 6 pm. I ordered a smoothie and wrap at 6:02 pm. My smoothie came out 5 minutes later at 6:07 pm. I was sitting up at the bar chairs where you can see the employees working. There was 3 food orders in front of me and 3 employees in the back food are. Only 1 boy who looked high school age was working. I saw which was presumably the manager and another older female working standing doing nothing. During my 25 minute wait for a fricken wrap I heard all about the female employees vacation she is going on and her and the managers conversation. The poor boy working finally had my wrap done and rushed it out to me apologizing that it took so long. Shame on management, I am very disappointed. Hopefully Tropical Smoothie is able to hire a better management team or you will have a LOT of unhappy customers.
