Went in today with my sister, brother in law and my two kids. One is 2.5 and the other 5 months. We came in shortly after they opened so maybe around 12:30/1:00. There was barely anyone in the place, it was quiet. We sat at a table next to another family with a toddler because it was a low rise table. The table was directly diagonal from the register where you can order food and drinks. The food, drinks and service were great from all of the employees except for the manager “Fred” if that is actually his name. He abruptly and rudely shouted towards myself and the other family, all while never making eye contact with us ONCE, because our kids were rolling cars on a metal chair. While I am 100% completely okay with my kid being told “no” or her having to follow rules, it’s how he went about it, and how he said it. He was completely rude, loud and out of line. The kids were being watched. They weren’t loud or bothering anyone as no one was around us. It is not what he said, it is HOW he said it. He would be and will be the sole reason I would never come back. His entire demeanor was off. He ruined the mood completely, and you could feel how uncomfortable it was with how he acted. He was out of line and his demeanor was uncalled for. If he would have spoken like an adult, it would have not even been a problem.. I’m sorry for the owners because you have a beautiful brewery, and the rest of the staff...
Read moreStopped in for the first time last night with my husband. It was our intention to buy a couple flights and sample the beers. Once we were waited on, the bartender told us we couldn't have any flights because there was a party going. Without further explanation and without offering us a drink menu, we told him we'd just take a Creekside IPA and and Aud DIPA (listed on their website). He told us that the website was inaccurate and that only what was listed on the board was available. He then poured us two samples (without prompting) and left. Neither of those two beers impressed us, so we picked a couple off the board and waited for him to return. He came back, told us the two we picked off the board were unavailable, poured us one sample and left. He returned a short time later and leaned over the bar toward us, sighing impatiently. Before I could request something else, he rolled his eyes and threw his arms up in exasperation and stomped away. Bartender was bald with a dark beard. We were so uncomfortable after this interaction that there was nothing left to do but go elsewhere. With all the new breweries and craft beer centric establishments, it's hard to believe that 42 North can afford to have such poor customer service. This brewery was one of the last on our list to check out and now we will never ever be going back. Horrible experience, horrible customer...
Read moreWe were extremely disappointed here. We drove all the way to East Aurora and this was our very first stop because we were looking forward to it. When we went in, the two workers there made us feel very unwelcome, as they ignored our arrival and they made us feel like we were interrupting them from talking with the only other two patrons in the restaurant who were clearly their friends. It was clear it was our first time there yet they did not offer any tips of what to try/be friendly. We honestly debated just leaving but decided on at least trying a flight. The beers were good but there were tons of flies flying around us and the table was very sticky. So we didn't stay for food and left after the flight. It is also ridiculous you order at the counter, pick everything up at the counter, pay at the counter, and then when you pay are automatically expected to give a tip. A real shame. We will...
