After a late Friday afternoon round of golf at a different local establishment we opted to give this watering hole a try for dinner. Found plenty of ample parking as Arriba sharers a large public lot with many others. So we backed our rig into a spot not too far from the entrance and scampered on in. We were pleasantly surprised to find no wait on a Friday evening and we were seated at a high top near the bar area. Barely seated 15 seconds and we were greeted by the first basket of fresh chips and salsa. Delicious! Possibly the best chips I've had of the many local Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants we've frequented. We also tried the dip sampler with guac, queso, and pico, also phenomenal. For the main course I opted for the taco platter and was able to substitute shrimp tacos with no problem. The tacos were delicious, the shrimp cooked perfectly, and the sides were typical. With the exception of the corn pudding that is. That was amazing, I would've bathed in it if I could have! Though it might be considered a little pricey by some standards, the amount of food more than makes up for it. We have plenty of leftovers. So give this local joint a shot. You'll be happy you did! 🌮🌮

All the usual Mexican-American selections plus a few creative menu items in a colourful atmosphere at this restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly, forgot to bring the hot sauce I asked for but I ended up just fine without it so I didn't really try to get her attention, and otherwise she was attentive enough. I tried the veggie tomatilla flatbread. It was like an open-faced quesadilla. The tomatilla sauce was delicious (but salty), and I liked the assortment of veggies. Super cheesy. The tortilla was not sturdy enough to support the weight of all the toppings so I had to fork-and-knife it. I enjoyed this; it was different and kind of fun. Huge portions. I ate 5/8 slices of my flatbread. I was with my parents who ordered 1 taco each and that was enough for a complete meal for both of them. While it doesn't stand out to me compared to similar Mexican-American restaurants, it was good and I would consider stopping here again if I'm driving through again.

The food was fantastic, perfectly cooked to perfection. I had the chicken flautas, with all the sides on the side. That jap jelly is to die for! The only thing that eclisped the immaculate food, was the service. Our hostess was so quick to seat, get us drinks, and chips and salsa. We felt so at home thanks to the service of, Emily, I think her name was. While no one could even try to follow Emily's service, Bridget waddled along and knocked it out of the park. She was quick, speedy, timely, efficient, kind, compassionate, and above all else, professional. Our food was ordered and brought out within 10-15 minutes, and it was beautiful prepared. Compliments to the chef on that one. Hats off to the owner for cultivating such an amazing experience through great service, great food, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend requesting either Bridget or Emily if you want fantastic service like I received today. 10/10, would give 6 stars if I could.

So it's hard for me to leave a review because there is so much I love about this place but also a few things I highly dislike. I always caution people when I recommend this place because I don't want them going there and not liking it because they order the wrong things, then that looks bad on me. This place is great! So let me start by saying the restaurant is beautiful inside. They have decorated it well, very colorful, the hand carved wood chairs are beautiful, you can tell they are very invested in this place. I'm going to start with what I dislike because it's a shorter list. The salsa here is not good at all. To me it tastes like a packet of Ortega taco seasoning dumped into tomato sauce. I have had way better salsa like almost everywhere I have gone. And the flank steak is horrible. We ordered the flank steak fajita and sent it back. Every place I've had flank steak it just melts in my mouth, not here. Not only was it hard to cut and chew, it had terrible, overdone seasonings on it. So now to the GREAT stuff. The guacamole is the best I've ever had anywhere, ever! And my whole family agrees. So fresh and flavorful, Yum! The pork they use for the fajitas and whatever other dish calls for pork is AMAZING. Just so good. But be sure to order it without the bbq sauce on it. I have NO idea why they throw bbq sauce on the pork, makes it taste like you're at a BBQ joint instead of a Mexican place. The flavors are so good, you don't need to ruin it with bbq sauce. The cornbread they have (they call it corn pudding which is kind if off-putting) is the best cornbread you will have anywhere in your life, GUARANTEED. Their mixed drinks and margaritas are beautiful to look at and delicious as well, but you have to ask for salt on the rim if you like it that way. Otherwise it comes unsalted, which I thought was strange. The churros are very good and so fun to get for dessert. The servers are all very pleasant and very hard working. We have no complaints about that. I do think they should consider getting a busboy for the ultra busy hours because our server absolutely had no time to clear because she was simply too busy. And it's not a good look when the tables are piled up w dirty dishes on them. All in all I love this place but it is hit or miss on the menu. I will continue to go here but am limited in what I order and also prefer to go at non-busy times. Again these are all just my own opinions but I wanted to leave an...

My family visited here last weekend and we were not that impressed. Let me start off by saying that my mom is immunocompromised, but we decided as a collective to eat out for my grandmother's and my own birthday celebration. I made a reservation for outside. I made it clear that I wanted to be outside. On the day, I didn't see anything wrong with the weather. I should have double checked, but I was upset to find out the patio was closed. They had moved our reservation inside without letting us know ahead of time. I let the girl know of my mothers condition and agreed to sit inside in the most unused part of the restaurant. The woman showed us to a table that she said only had one customer today. We started to sit down only to realize that no one even sanitized the table. There was salsa all over it. When I told someone, they came by with a wet rag to clean it. I then asked for napkins to sanitize it myself with hand sanitizer. Once that was settled we ordered. My mango margarita just tasted like straight tequila with some lime. I'm used to them being at least a little sweet. Our waitress did offer to bring a new one over and it was slightly better. My pork fajitas we're actually pretty good, but the beans were way over seasoned with cumin and the rice had a little bit of a kick for a few of my family members. Overall, my family said it was okay and they've had better Mexican. From the reviews, I expected better. The majority of the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. I say majority because there was a very cranky guy at the front desk. I assume he wasn't the host because someone else spoke with us. I will say this again though... I really enjoyed my pork fajitas. I would recommend them if you do want to check...

Probably some of the worst mexican food in this area. I came here with my mom for lunch what we got was overpriced and terrible. Our server/bartender was busy and didn't come to our table immediately. Reading the menu I can tell it wasn't a very authentic mexican restaurant because of the hard shell taco shells (former Arizona resident). I ordered a burrito with beef and corn salsa and my mom order an enchilada nacho dish. My meal came out and was pretty much a chipotle sized burrito with a few scraps of pico, shredded lettuce and sour cream. I looked at it and said this is what I'm paying $13 for. The burrito itself was heavy just filled with beans, rice, beef, cheese and corn salsa it had the flavor profile of generic store bought taco seasoning. My mom's meal was and enchilada nacho dish which she assumed was made from corn not flour (diet choice no gluten) but came out with flour. No where on the menu mentioned that this was made with flour tortillas usually enchiladas are corn. After we got our food our server never even asked us if we like our food. I ate about half of my meal before my stomach said no more because it was so greasy that I needed to take tums when I got to the car. Both of us left about half of our meals server asked us if we wanted boxes and we said no. You would think that if we had half uneaten meals that we didn't want to take home it would trigger something in our servers brain that we had an issue. We paid for our terrible food unfortunately and was never even asked how it was by the server at all. I know the server was busy but we felt ignored the...
