Be aware of the return policy, especially if youāre buying a gift.
I bought my wife a jacket for Christmas about three weeks ago, and as I do with anything I buy her, I confirm that it can be returned for credit at minimum. Iām a husband, so I often donāt get the correct size or style.
This year it was the later. So today, my wife went to return/exchange the $90 jacket, nothing extravagant, less than a month after the purchase. She was told, by the owner, that there was a deadline for returns, which was Jan. 5, however I was not informed of the deadline when I bought the jacket.
The owner said the reason for the deadline is that everything was put on sale after Jan 5th, so my wife suggested sheād accept whatever the sale price for the item was in store credit. Not acceptable to the owner.
The owner did apologize, but for what Iām not sure, because if she honestly believed her policy was in good faith, why would she apologize for it?
Anyway, I see from the reviews Iām not the first to highlight her return policy, so just take heed should you buy something from Head Over Heels. I have no doubt she uses her return policies to avoid as many returns as possible and lock her customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas out walking with my mom and dog in EA. The store looked so cute from the street and we really wanted to stop in and have a look around. I came in first and asked if it would be alright if my dog came in as well. I believe is was the owner who was more than welcoming to all of us! She sat and talked with us about her dogs while I tried on some boots and I just canāt tell you just how kind and amazing she was! She pet our dog every time she passed us in the store and was so sweet to him! Her store is absolutely beautiful and we saw how she made everyone feel like a close friend as soon as they came in! After we cashed out and we had already left, she came running out to catch us so she could give our pup a Christmas present! I canāt tell you how much that made our day! (And his day too of course!!) This is why I love small businesses. My mom, dog and I thank you so much for your kindness, our time in your store really warmed our hearts! Also all of the clothes are so cute!! Weāll definitely be back again!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI received a sweater from my mom for Christmas. She was being kind and gave me a small- Iām not a small! I didnāt want to hurt her feelings so I didnāt ask for the receipt- I was just going to exchange the size. I drove to the store on Jan 2nd to return it and got there just a little before 11am and no lights were on and store was closed. I figured the website mustāve been incorrect and they were not opening at 11am. I wasnāt able to return to the store until today on my day off of teaching and the store owner, Rachele Pfister, told me I was past the Jan 15th return date (5 days) and that I wasnāt allowed to exchange it for something else in the store because she didnāt know the value of the sweater when my mom bought it. I was willing to take the lowest price but even this was not allowed. I want to support small businesses, however when they make returns literally impossible, I would rather shop online where I know I can return if there...
