Me and the person I was with had never been to this location for breakfast. Needless to say we won’t be returning. The food was delicious as always but the service was terrible. We were stuck with Matt or Matthew M as it says on the receipt for specific clarification. Our experience with him was one of the worst server experiences I’ve ever had at an ihop. Firstly it seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing when controlling the touch pad needing time to figure it out as we were ordering. Next after finally receiving our food mine was not as I requested it. I ordered the banana foster pancakes with the foster sauce on the side. The sauce was put on mine so I had to send in back to get it redone. So while my food was getting redone the person I was with ate without me. In the meantime while I was waiting I was told by Matt that the pancakes would be checked on. However before doing so he went to the nearby registers and started goofing off with fellow coworkers. The food eventually came out and everything was correct though I wish it was the first time. As I was enjoying my food I saw Matt walk by with another employee jokingly saying did I mess up again? And then he proceeeded to stick his tongue out disgustingly in front of customers. This angered me and I’m dissapointed in ihop for hiring someone like this. Matt seems like the kinda person who cares more about being friends with everyone then doing his job correctly. Considering he was joking about messing up orders. I guess that’s something he does on the regular. I felt insulted as a customer. Messing up orders is not a joke. Luckily after eating me and the person I was with were able to leave. I’ve had many amazing experiences at other ihop locations so I’ll be sticking to those ones. Me and the person I was with will never be coming back to this location. In my personal opinion a server like that does not deserve employment. It’s incredibly dissapointing ihop would hire someone like that. We were there this past Friday and we won’t be coming back. I hope this...
Read moreI really can't for the health of me figure out why this restaurant have a 4.5 star. Unless they hired these people to do so. Even if the food was free I wouldn't rate with nothing more than no star. Anywho, My cousin took me and my auntie to this IHOP in farmingdale. It was nice until we turned the corner. At first the worker tried to place us at a table that was clearly disgusting, so he called the cleaner over to clean it. We immediately asked for another table. As we sat down, my cousin asked do I want to go somewhere else. I refused, because my stomach was set to eat there. The waitress came by once, my aunt was constantly looking for her, sort of like hid and seek. Now to top it all off. A group left and they had children so you can image the mess that were left behind. It was sight for sore eyes, 45mins it took them to clean that table, only because my cousin finally said something and after she said something it took another 15 mins to clean it. You must be saying they probably was busy, NO THAT WASNT THE CASE, they were standing chit chatting. Yup you guessed it, we will never eat there again. And the food was not all that. The bathroom was really a publicly, disgusting. I went in washed my hands and walked out in disgusted. However I was very disappointed and I don't know why we have to leave a star when they don't deserve a...
Read moreService has been consistently slow and server is forgetful and under 27, so there isn't an age related excuse. 2nd time hes served me and, though faster this time, had another excuse for why refill of 3.99 soda sort of limited me to 2 refills before I was done with meal. This time they happened to pick the exact time I was there to clean soda dispenser. Last visit my pancake side came out 15 or so minutes after my 55+BLT was delivered. That excuse was a mix up in kitchen. Same old, same old. Pick up your game Brandon. The first job of wait-staff is to get the order right, then get it to customer properly. First time I was there, it took 15 minutes before you brought coke and water to me and I was obviously hot and in need of a cold drink. THATS WHY I ORDERED A WATER. A glass of water should be automatic on a hot day in summer and the customer is dripping sweat. Bring it with you when you take the order, or before, when I'm seated by the hostess. The restaurant was nearly empty, so being overtaxed is not a valid excuse. We're not in California. There are no drinking water restrictions on Long Island requiring patrons to ask for it to get it. And I asked for it. YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BROUGHT THEM WITH MY MEAL IF I DIDN'T TELL ANOTHER WAITSTAFF TO TELL YOU TO BRING...
