I'm on the fence between leaving 2 or 3 stars. I feel like giving it 3 stars is being extremely generous. Let me just express the fact that I am NOT one to leave reviews on anything unless it was absolutely incredible or absolutely terrible. I've been coming to this Tropical Smoothie location for legit years, at one point I was in there every single day. The establishment itself was very clean. I'm not here to "complain" about the establishment itself. I'm here to basically write a review on one particular in employee that just really irritated me. I wish I got her name but unfortunately I didn't (she had reddish hair, pale skin, had a nose piercing & very skinny) when I first walked in there was a lady with 3 kids in front of her who were ordering. There was another employee as well who was Spanish and on the "thicker side" who was actually doing her job and rushing around trying to make the smoothies for them while the other girl was taking her sweet time helping. The customers in front of me were sitting waiting for the smoothies they ordered. As the smoothies were handed to them one at a time, one of the kids dropped their smoothie on the floor & the styrofoam cup completely shattered and the smoothie went everywhere. Let's call the girl who wasn't working (A) and the other girl (B) for the sake of this review. Girl A says "Shotty not". As this was occuring, there was more and more customers coming in. Let me remind you that while all of this was happening, I'm STILL waiting for my smoothie. Girl A ended up having to clean up the smoothie anyways bc Girl B was rushing around trying to make all these smoothies for the customers. When Girl A was done cleaning up the smoothie she came back around behind the counter and wasn't even helping Girl B with making the smoothies. My fiance had came in from next door and didn't know whether or not he wanted a smoothie. So Girl A asked if he was getting anything & in the middle of him answering her, her friend walks in, she completely stops taking to him & starts talking to her friend to ask her what she wanted. Girl A was not friendly at all & provided TERRIBLE customer service. Girl B was very friendly, hard working and respectful. So from start to finish, we waited at least 20 mins for our smoothies which is absolutely unacceptable. Read moreThis is long but worth the read. On 7/2/2020, I placed a mobile order for a smoothie and the chicken Baja bowl at 1:33PM. Arrived at 1:43PM and called, they said it would be a few min. I waited for another 15 min on the curbside pick up line, and nothing. I called and got placed on a 2 min hold. I decided to go inside and my food was just sitting there. I was slightly upset but understood they were busy. Upon arriving back to work to eat my lunch, what I found was wilted, yellowing gross lettuce. I called immediately and spoke with a manager named Dianne. I told her what happened and she offered to replace the chicken bowl and make it herself. She took my name down and I told her I’d come the next day for lunch. Friday 7/3/2020, I called and ask to speak with the manger Dianne to just simply place that remake order, we got cut off because the “phone died” but I didn’t even receive a call back. I had to call back 3 times to get a hold of somebody for something so simple. I finally got on with Dianne and and she said “ok” and I told her I’ll be there shortly, all I got was an “alright” and she hung up the phone. Once again, I get it, they’re busy, but have a little customer service and acknowledgement to your paying customers. This is no way to do business. Common sense and common courtesy, what many lack. So I waited, once again, for at least 25 min for my remake bowl, and even longer for my smoothie that I had pay for thru the app. Once again, I get back to work, after waiting patiently for my meal, starved and the lettuce is once again WILTED, old, yellow and GROSS. Please see the photos, the first is from yesterday and the next one is today. I’ve never had to make a review like this to this extent nor did I want to, but this isn’t right. I went in store and spoke with “Briggs”, a manager there who simply gave me (2) free smoothie cards and said he would refund me for my salad. I WAITED 2 weeks, no refund. I called back and he then gave me his personal cell to remind him. This is no way to handle a customer service issue. I should not have to remind a manager something of this nature. Read moreMy boyfriend and I experienced tropical smoothie for the first time while on vacation in Cape Cod and had a wonderful experience. We started going to the Tropical Smoothie in Deer Park, N.Y, and our experiences with the customer service was fairly decent. In the last couple of months, the customer service at the deer park location has been terrible. Every time we go in there, they make you wait for a long period of time and don't even acknowledge the fact that you are standing there. When you ask them a question about your order, their response is "I DON'T KNOW!" Yesterday my boyfriend went in there to get a Smoothie and he waited 10 minutes and not one of the employees acknowledged him, so he walked out. We went to the Tropical Smoothie in Bayshore, N.Y., and we had a wonderful experience. The customer service was very attentive. We will no longer be going to the Deer Park Location .
