I hate to write a review like this, because my family loves, and often raves about, Wally’s Bagels.

This morning, I placed a very simple online order for pickup: an egg everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, lightly toasted. This cost $5.44 with tax, which is absolutely insane, but I was willing to pay it because Wally’s has always been great.

Once I arrived at the store, I received a message that my order was ready, so I went in to pick it up and drove home.

As soon as I got home and went to open my bagel, I noticed something odd- there was nothing on it (or so it seemed). Just a sliced bagel, but no cream cheese.

I fully opened the bagel only to realize that it is absolutely drenched in melted butter, with a few globs still on it. To top it off, the wrapping paper was folded inside of the bagel, also drenched in butter.

I called the store, and I will say that the lady who answered the phone (I believe it was Jen, possibly a manager?) was apologetic and offered to remake the order, but at that point I had already spent 45 minutes of my morning between ordering and driving to pick up an overpriced bagel, and I had somewhere to be.

So, I’m stuck here with an inedible, butter soaked, cold bagel and a pending credit card refund for $5.44.

I’ve been going to Wally’s for years now, and this was the first time I’ve used their online ordering option. I would caution you to NOT order online, unless you unwrap each food item and check to make sure it’s correct before leaving the premises.

Wally’s has great bagels, and I know mistakes happen, but it was quite the frustrating experience that will make me think twice before ordering...

A well run popular place to get breakfast.

Food: 4/5 - Food is well prepared. Besides bagels they have plenty of breakfast specials. A basic affair of sausage sandwiches and Hero's. They also have platters. There's no sense of greasiness or aftertaste -- a sign that the grill is kept clean.

Service: 5/5 - The place gets really busy but they have a bunch of people working behind the counter. They move people in/out quickly. They multi-task well. For example, while the food is cooking they come over and ring you up and get your coffee. This way as soon as the food is done, you're out the door. The team is friendly and they seem to know a lot of the "regulars."

Cleanliness 4/5 - No issues. The kitchen is in full display. So you can really see that there is nothing improper going on. Food, like the hash browns is kept refrigerated until use.

Atmosphere 2/5 - This is not a restaurant and there is no seating. You order and you're on your way. Tight quarters.

Value 5/5 - Not too expensive. Way cheaper than going to a diner or restaurant.

Parking: 4/5 - Big lot but the shopping area can get very congested during the day.

Overall 4/5 -- All of my visits so far were consistent and good. This, and the fact that they open at 5am - 7 days a week is a big plus for me. I've found a quick way to get a nice breakfast before hitting the road. I will be returning as long as they can keep the place...

I almost never leave reviews, but my self and several other customers from today felt we needed to. The food is always great however, today I walked in and watched the female manager, screaming in front of all of the customers the entire time at her staff many that were quite young, however, all ages. The way she spoke to them I would not even speak to my enemy. When myself another lady confronted her because all of us in the store that was packed were shocked. She said I’m sorry we’re under a lot of pressure then went to the back where we all listen to her, screaming at the top of her lungs to someone about how she was trying to be fair and make sure everyone gets their break. That’s why she was screaming at them. This went on for at least another three minutes and then she came back out with the same attitude. I was told by someone in the store that they come every day and this is how she Treats the staff every day. Your food can be the best food in the world, but something like this will make people not come back. This was absolutely abuse how she was speaking to the...

About 10 years ago, a friend of mine said Wally's Bagels are by far the best bagels ever. I told her to calm down...its just a bagel place. I have had good and bad bagels before as we all have and said how much better can a bagel be over another?...Well, guess what?...Wallys is absolutely the best bagel place I have ever been to. And I don't live near them, unfortunately. I used to work around the corner but have since changed jobs. But when I am out in the area, I make it a point to go in. Every Friday, when I commute to Brooklyn, I will always stop and grab breakfast. 100000% recommend them...👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
