H&A Deli & Smoothies — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I'd become quite fond of the location's previous occupant, Medford Pizza & Deli. I was saddened when I found out they'd closed. They were replaced by some quasi deli-bakery, where if you'd blinked, you would have missed them, they weren't around for long. Then H&A Deli came in. I was initially very skeptical because Medford Pizza & Deli were amazing, but over the past couple of months, H&A has won me over and is an excellent deli in their own right.

H&A has retained a lot of Medford Pizza & Deli's menu and have also added smoothies and other healthy fare. They'd just started putting chopped salads on their menu with a list of ingredients to choose from. I had them make me a Cobb Salad. I have just finished it, and that's what prompted me to leave my review. It was incredible, one of the best salads I'd had in a long time. Their sandwiches are very good too. They give you plenty of meat, like Medford Pizza & Deli used to.

There is no more pizza there, though. I'd had their pizza and it was pretty good but there are so many other pizza places in the immediate area that it's no big loss. The clerk (owner?) who helped me today said they're planning to make that part of the store their smoothie and salad area. So I give H&A Deli and Smoothies a glowing recommendation. Give them a shot. Thank GOD there is an actual REAL deli in Medford again. I don't know what's better the fact that there egg sandwiches are delicious or how affordable they are. They have homemade salads and a fresh steam table daily. I got the "chunky monkey" shake (yes they have a whole menu of delicious shakes) and it was awesome! The new deli is good i have only experienced egg sandwiches from them but by far better then any other local options bacon is actually cooked too a good temperature and not floppy or over cooked just right. Give them a try...
