Before I even review the actual food from Peking House, I just needed to mention the lack of customer service in its entirety. For my first and only time ordering from this establishment, I had walked in and no one acknowledged that I was there at all. I might of thought there was no one working if it wasn’t for the one guy who finally appeared from the back. When I was finally greeted by a cashier that appears that he wanted to work anywhere but there, I quickly placed my 4 item order. I sat down and expected to wait a decent amount of time but NOTHING would prepare me for the hour and forty five minute wait…..for lack of better words, I was baffled. I waited the full time and finally received my order to which they seemed relieved that I was finally leaving their restaurant. I got home opened up our order with my husband to find that only 2 out of the four items we ordered were there. I had ordered chicken lo mein, general tso’s chicken, boneless ribs, and shrimp with broccoli. I received a completely different and smaller size of the chicken lo mein and the boneless ribs. I was shocked as I paid the full price for the FOUR items and only received half of the order. The lo mein was extremely greasy and had almost no flavor. The general tso’s chicken was way too sweet and was very dry. I was complete dissatisfied with the customer service AS WELL as the food itself. Like any other paying customer would, I decided to pay another trip to Peking House and explain my situation. I showed them the receipt with the four things I had ordered. They stared at me, almost as if I had brought a fraudulent receipt, and said ‘there’s nothing we can do because you didn’t bring the entire order to confirm it wasn’t there. I had taken a picture of the bag with the two items but they weren’t changing their mind. I received no compensation for my order. If you are reading this review, PLEASE reconsider and DO NOT go to Peking House. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants that are much more deserving of your time, money,...

I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and the lobster sauce was made well and tasted delicious. The food was fresh and had a lot more flavor. The fried rice is still a little too dry for me but I will try again in the near future.
I totally disagree with the other review. Yes, the food is fresh, but has absolutely no flavor. The new owners cook nothing like the former owner. I've tried them three time now and had issues each time. Especially with the fried rice - it's too dry and has no flavor. Also, I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan and they gave me chicken and mushrooms instead of the normal vegetables - bok choy, snow peas, water chestnuts, etc. I am so disappointed because this was my go-to place...
Read moreThe food is pretty much just classic American Chinese food, they got all those Gen Tso chicken and pork fried rice kind of stuff, it’s great but not fantastic. I ordered around 20$ of chicken wing w pork fried rice, large chicken and broccoli, tbh it’s generally cheap compared to some of the other restaurants, and they do give a lot of free stuffs too, like fortune cookies and a free fridge magnet stuff, also I asked if I can get like one or two bags of crispy noodles and they just give that to me for free, so it was quite nice. Also I kinda like the environment of the place, it’s clean overall, some of the other restaurants have like rusty walls and what not, and the staff people are nice to me. Overall a recommended place to go, especially on the middle of Long Island where we don’t get a lot of dining...
