Guy was trying to grab a girl by the bathroom and I watched the manager yell at the girls and kick them out. No matter what guys shouldn't put there hands on girls and I saw that guy was still in the bar after he did that so my friends and I left. Probably avoid this place.
So to answer the comment by owner, I am being 100% honest about my experience. The person who was recording wasn’t involved in the situation, but rather was trying to record so she could show security. The man who decided to take action himself with the women in the men’s room even tho he wasn’t working there or with security grabbed her phone because she was recording him getting irate with two women she didn’t know and pushing them. This is well with in somebody else’s rights if you see something you record it especially if it’s a man getting handsy with women. He then grabbed the phone of the person recording yet another instance of putting his hands on women and other people’s property. Afterwards the manager who knew the man in the picture yelled at the girl recording and kicked her and her friends out of the bar. I personally saw that and went to go get my jacket and leave where I saw the man in the picture. So really the owner is being dishonest, your staff was ok with a man putting his hands on women and supports trying to hide that same behavior. The only reason that I decided to update my comment is because I’ve shared my experience with a couple different people and they as well have said the management of this certain establishment allows this behavior commonly. I do still go to Patchogue to drink, but I avoid this bar...
Read moreDecent food but horrible experience. Utterly rude and disrespectful staff. Long story short, they wouldn’t serve my friends alcohol because they are from out of state and didn’t have another valid ID. I don’t know anyone who brings a passport to a restaurant (keep in mind we were there at 7pm for dinner not 2am for drinks.) I understand they need to be vigilant about cracking down on fake IDs but these were 21+ customers and the way it was handled was absurd. Manager was no help and would hardly admit the waitress made up her own policies. These “policies” being that #1) another photo ID with their names on it wasn’t enough to confirm their identities (manager did concede and said she would have taken that as valid ID even though the waitress said it NEEDED to have a birthday on it) #2) that she’s not allowed to serve another person that can prove they are over 21 if she ASSUMES someone else at the table is under 21. This isn’t a law and is insane. Are parents not allowed to buy a beer for themselves while with their children at a restaurant? Doubt it. The manager also insulted them by saying one looked like a baby. People look young. People go on vacation to LI from out of state. It is completely ignorant to think otherwise. At the end of the day it’s just a few beers but the attitude that was given every step of the way wasn’t acceptable. As someone who works in the restaurant business it was appalling. Not a single “I’m sorry about that.” Don’t worry, we still tipped but people like this don’t deserve your money,...
Read moreThis place is ok for dinner - just okay. We went on Saturday with a 7:00pm reservation for 6 people, not packed or busy. Music was too loud to have a conversation so we spent the entire time saying "what?" to each other. Ordered 2 kids meals of chicken fingers which were listed as $12 including side, drink and dessert. We were charged $13 each at the end of the night, and were charged for $3 each for the kids drinks. And they were the rubber hockey puck chicken fingers that even kids don't really like. Fries were basic and didn't even have salt on them. The adults at the table has steak, IPA crispy chicken, and Mac & Cheese. Steak was good. Chicken was bland - like zero flavor, not bad, just boring. Brussel sprouts - same, bland and boring. Mac and Cheese we asked for no bread crumbs, came with bread crumbs. Bacon in mac and cheese was rubbery and undercooked. Mashed potatoes were real mashed potatoes, just minus any seasoning at all - like potatoes, butter, milk, done. The waiter was very nice, but it was kind of slow service as we were there for almost 2 hours, which is only a concern because you have to pay to park in Patchogue, so you are playing beat the meter. Overall - bland food, slower service, check your bill before paying to ensure you are not getting overcharged. Not terrible, just not great...
