First let me give props to the pizza Queen! She has done an amazing job building her business with the utmost professionalism. I honestly had to research the business as I thought it was part of a franchise chain. I started my first visit by utilizing the restroom. While the restrooms were rightfully hidden, there was no signage directing patrons to it's location. The restroom I had used was just cleaned a few minutes beforehand , and regrettably was very sticky. Additionally, something that should be considered is automated flushing toilets and faucets. In this day and age with covid and whatever else is out there, it's just a safety thing. The restaurant itself was very clean. Very little debris on the floor from patrons, and tables were quickly wiped down after use. Things were a little chaotic behind the counter due to the enormous staff. You can easily tell who was professional management and who was not just by their demeanor. Due to the layout of the and everyone walking back and forth, the pizza cookers were always interfered with to make room for people to pass. Being our first visit, we decided to try the Wood fired Pizza. I myself had to Margarita and my daughter had the buffalo chicken wing pizza. Both used high-quality ingredients and the sauce was delicious! My margarita was just a little salty but the salt also brings out the flavor of the mozzarella. My only disappointment was with the dough. While it was a very good dough, it was not a dough consistent with a wood fire pizza. So the big question is would I dine there again? The answer is Yes, without question! However, would I go out of my way to dine there again? Regrettably, my answer...
Read moreWent there for the first time on Sunday. We've been wanting to try them for a while now. Have heard amazing things! But the price has kept us at bay. We finally took the dive. Ordered online which was easy to use and navigate. I was a bit fan of their online ordering. I ordered a 12" pickle pizza with roasted red peppers added and a 16" Philly pizza. Our total was in the high 40s with a tip.
We had timed the pizza for 1:15, I got text messages saying the order had been submitted. Everything was going well well no issues. Then 1:04 I got a text saying our order was ready. I completely understand it's hard to time orders, you can't make it perfect but 11 minutes early isn't really acceptable. I timed it because I'd rather wait a couple minutes for a hot pizza then pick up one that's been sitting there.
The store was clean and the staff was nice I would like to add.
Next came the issues of the sizes of the pizza. Our 12" was barely over 10. And our 16" was also small. I've read through the reviews and seems this is a common issue. I was happy to pay the price until I saw I lost a significant amount of bites due to how small the pizzas were. It's very clear to, I can't believe the pizza maker didn't remake them or offer a discount.
We drove out of our way to try them and was not impressed. I don't plan on going back.
I didn't reach out to the store because we live 30 minutes away and didn't want to go back out. Also the fact that the sizes are issues with multiple people make me think it could be an issue in the future as well.
The pizza was delicious! I just wish we got all that...
Read moreWood Fired pizza is my absolute FAVE and the only type of pizza I currently eat, but not all are created equal. Toss & Fire is the best! The menu has a nice selection of apps and salads, all of which are flavorful, delicious and generously proportioned. The spicy pickle fries are literally to die for! I am honestly addicted to the speciality wood fired pizzas! The Margarita sauce is perfect! It tastes fresh and is seasoned well. Garlic sauce isn't overwhelming and still is full of sweet garlic flavor. But the shining star is the Cheeky Monkey sauce. A spicy (but not too hot) sweet sauce that is so mouthwatering delicious, that my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Thier dough has a great flavor that gets even more elevated from cooking near the wood.
The restaurant itself is very comfortable and has a nice variety of seating for dining in. I love that the wood that they use is on display by the register! It adds to the ambiance. It is very clean inside, well lit and has minimalist decor that fits the natural feel of the restaurant. The staff are wonderful! They seem genuinely happy to be there, are always helpful and make us feel welcome. The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. Lunch/Dinner for 2, including an app, 2 salads, 2 Tropicana Lemonades and 2 medium pizzas is about $35 including a 20% tip. And worth every penny!
If you want amazing pizza and great appetizers, Toss &...
