King David's Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Camillus

King David Fairmount is definitely the BEST restaurant in not only Upstate NY, but all of NYS! It is a restaurant where the food is so delicious that I have to actually stop myself from crying because I'm so overwhelmed by amazingness! It is a go to restaurant for us.

The first thing I have to mention is the freshness of the food! The veggies are crisp, the flavors are bright and vibrant, and everything is in house made. They also use premium ingredients. I feel like that makes a huge difference and definitely lends to the amazing quality of the dishes. When I want real, fresh food, I can count on King David.

We are vegetarian and consider ourselves foodies. I love that KD has so many tasty vegetarian options. The hummus, baba ganoush and falafel are to die for! Any of the bowls (the farro bowl is outstanding!) are a great choice as is the vegetarian platter. The baklava...OMG! I feel a tear coming to my eye just thinking about it. Craving just 1 more piece.

The restaurant is comfortable, welcoming and spotless. The prices are excellent and you get a very generous amount of food, regardless of what you order. I also totally love the staff! Wow! I was blown away by King David's in Fairmount. Blaine is wonderful! I placed a large catering order with her and I felt really confident they would do a good job. Blaine was very professional and recommended quantities for the amount of people coming. I called earlier in the week to ask some questions and then on the pick up day to confirm. What stood out to me the most is how polite every one there is and it added to my trust about the food order. On to the food...people went bonkers over it. Even the next day people were texting how good the food was. I ordered a lot so people were taking the leftovers and loving it. Even the salad was gone! The food was so delicious. I was so impressed by the quality,taste, and presentation. It was hectic so I did not get a picture of the spread.everything was ready on time, packaged well, labeled, and organized. I would love to give this place more stars. The food is okay. I've tried the gyro or gyro platter many times, as well as from many other local places. The meat is always on the overcooked side. Probably a food safety thing? Not sure what the reasoning is. The falafels have a nice flavor to them. Sometimes overdone but not for me today at least. I was prompted to review today because I ordered a delivery and even though I ordered pita bread with both bowls (and paid the extra dollar on both of them), I did not receive pita bread. I also had banana peppers and pickles added to a build your own bowl for which I did not add those ingredients. The person I ordered for does not like spicy things and can't have seeds. That includes pickle seeds. I would have considered this place a 3.5 silently off reviews, but disappointment crept in and here I am.

The food still tastes OK but the gyro meat is overcooked as usual and they got the ingredients in my build your own orders wrong...
