McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Cheektowaga

I used to work there and the floors were always dirty, the 2 of the managers always argued and thrown food at each other, there was a lot of yelling back and forth. On May 4th 2023 i got fired bc i was sick and i was throwing up and i didn’t want to be around food i tried to call in and my manager said that i still had to come in and i was sicker then a dog, i asked my manager if i can go home i have been throwing up and i can barely keep my eyes open because i didn’t feel good, i literally got sent home from school school bc of it, they didn’t listen to me, so i messaged my older brother and said “ i have been throwing up and they won’t let me go home and i don’t want to be around food when i’m sick” so my brother came and got me and i clocked out and i left. My next shift i came in and they said that i was fired and my boss didn’t listen to me my boss took my managers side and my managers didn’t tell my boss everything my manager only told my boss that i left, so i tried to explain that i was sick and throwing up and still my boss didn’t listen and i still got fired. So if u are wanting to work here i prefer you rethink that bc bc if the floors i got injured 2 times i sprained my wrist and torn a tendon and was in a brace for a year almost in a cast, and the 2nd time i sprained my ankle and torn the ligament from my ankle to my leg was in a brace for 4 months to a year and then in a boot for 3-4 year. The managers and the boss and the owner they don’t care about the employees all they care about is making money and supporting the business and they treat their employees really bad, and their is a bully their that will make your life a living hell “because that is what he did to me” they even fired my best friend bc she was sick and in the hospital, so they. Don’t care about any one of the employees their employees except maybe their favorite employees. SO EVERYONE THAT IS INTERESTED ON WORKING THEIR IM JUST LETTING YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO.. This location is ( update: WAS ) ok. But, the staff using the headsets should speak more slowly and clearly...and not interrupt when the customer is responding to the order request. I had wanted to order additional items. Was interrupted and I couldn't make out what was being said. At least the order I was able to make and confirm was correct at the checkout window...but the staff handling the payment exchange did not confirm, did not engage...and it is rude to have a company policy that teaches this behavior, making the staff take orders while supposedly servicing me and my payment. The food order was correct at the pick-up window...this time.

Update: Just terrible. Period. The employees were a skeleton crew. Understaffed. The kids have no proper manners to address the growing crowd waiting for their orders. For a simple 2 cheeseburger large fries and a drink ( which I filled myself) , I waited a half hour!

Similar conditions at another McDonald's a few miles away. So, this is a systemic issue. The owners are supposed to be required by McDonald's corporate to be at their restaurants. I never see whoever that is.

Like an absentee landlord.

The food quality sucks. Yes...just garbage. And the prices are more than 50 to 70% more!

And what the heck.. stupid kiosks to order while inside? Stupid. The kids don't even acknowledge customers. Use the kiosk... right. I don't want to touch that dirty junk.

I'm sorry. I used to like and visit many locations. Not anymore. And when I do, I'm shocked that McDonald's allows any substandard to exist. So disappointed in what once was an icon...

I rarely ever come to this McDonald's because whenever I go to this location there is an issue. I waited over 32 minutes in the Drive-Thru line expected to have some sort of compensation when I pulled up to finally receive my food but nothing! There was only four cars in the drive thru and the staff was complaining about being understaffed and making excuses for why they couldn't get the food out. Having worked at places like this before I know that I could have clean the whole store, changed the oil, cooked all the food and had it out the window in that time with three staff members working and not much traffic. The fries were burnt and cooked an old oil and the Nuggets I got were completely stale like they sat out all day. Once pulling up to the window it looked like everyone was joking around and having a great time and not rushing to get the food out. Two other customers pulled up behind me while I waited and pulled away which seemed like what the staff wanted. This location has done nothing but go downhill and it has been obvious in the past few years that whoever is in charge of hiring doesn't make good decisions. I'll never return to this location I say it every time I've ever been here in the past five...
