I have been to the Clarence location many time and I am very disappointed the past few times I have been there. In the midst of a pandemic, there is no effort in keeping social distancing. I have yet to see any associates wipe down the register belts between customers or make any attempt to sanitize their hands or the credit card machine. I even tried the self checkout and found it was the same case. Noone wiping down the stations between customers and no supplies like sanitizer or disinfecting wipes for even the customer to make an attempt to wipe it down. Today however, has topped of my experience from bad to worse. Since I am now uncomfortable going into the store to purchase my things, I thought I would try curbside pickup. I placed my order (of 2 things) at 9a.m. The pickup time was between 1 and 2 p.m. I arrived around 1:45 with still no confirmation of my order being ready. I went into the store (which defeats the purpose of curbside pickup) found a front end associate and told her what was going on. She immediate found my order on the computer but had told me the order hadn't been confirmed on their end and that's why I never got a notification. I told the associate I would cancel the order if she could have someone grab the supplies for me. She replied with " i'm really sorry. It will be a little bit before someone will be able to grab your supplies. We are very short staffed today and there are a couple customers ahead of you. If you'd like to get what you need, you can find them in aisle 14 and go right up to the service desk to cash out." Yet again, defeating the purpose of curbside. I am very disappointed in the customer service I was shown today and will definitely be canceling my membership. I would never recommend...
Read moreElder gentleman who works as a gas station attendant needs some very serious customer service skills. He is salty and rude and his age has nothing to do with his behaviors. I am merely qualifying who he is. My daughter went to fill her vehicle and for whatever reason the reader gave her a USF reply. The younger lady who was at the kiosk was extremely nice and said it happens intermittently to people for no reason, but the man just yelled out loud infront of everyone “you need to use a card you have money on!” No place for such a demeanor. He should work in a back office somewhere, but for the love of god keep him away from people and flammable liquid! Also, yesterday I saw a customer videoing a woman and berating her because she pulled in the wrong way. He kept telling the lady to go back to her country and how stupid she was. Seriously? Because she pulled in the wrong way?! I’d rather pay 10 cents more and not have these shenanigans! It’s like some bizarro...
Read moreGood optical department. Generally good supply of basics like frozen food, meats, fruit, milk, cheeses, butter, bread, canned products, dry foods, kitchen appliances, casual clothes, seasonal wear, Wish the bakery didn't include products that use artificial preservatives. Very limited items like only running shoes and boots of lower quality. No leather bags like the ones at Costco. Tire department is included in the main store. Pet food is great as well as staple supplies like light bulbs, and medication. Seasonal decor, but no lawn care products. I don't recall seeing any electronics like televisions, or security systems. I believe only one cell phone company sells their phones there. No photo department. I have yet to open a BJs credit card to get 5 percent back. I'm not sure if there is a business membership that gives money back each year for...
