I went here last summer and honestly had the worst experience. I’m gluten free (allergy not preference) and when I asked which ice creams were safe to eat I was told “I don’t know”. I asked the employee to check, and she said she couldn’t.
Instead of any of the workers inside of the restaurant checking for me, I was met with blank stares. After asking repeatedly for any ingredients at all, they told me none of the ice creams are gluten free.
I asked why all of their ice creams would have wheat in them, to which I was told the employees didn’t actually know what gluten was (they thought it was lactose? Idk.)
They finally told me that the fruit sorbets had no gluten. I ordered one scoop, and received a barely 25% full cup. My friends, who both ordered the same size and flavor as me received full scoops.
The employees not knowledgeable and not helpful. Not only were they rude, but I was actually met with laughter from all of the employees in the back as I asked them to please check ingredients. I was obviously embarrassed and uncomfortable.
I tell everyone I know not to go to Brusters.
Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a food service establishment. Save yourself some time and go to...
Read moreHit or miss if you can actually order a Brusters blast or not. The wait for the milkshake is not great, made worse by the cost of add ins when the buster blast is unavailable. Seems like a great cash grab, only making enough ( - I don’t even understand what that explanation by your store front employee even means) bruster blast in the morning to draw in the late (haha it’s 7:54 you’re open until 10) crowd. Two small bowls of vanilla ice cream with one topping each, 14.51$. Took about 15 mins to wait in line, order and get a...
Read moreThe ice cream I had was great, better than the Dairy Queen that’s 2 minutes down the road.
The service was a bit sluggish, but given that I visited on the 3rd day of operation and how busy it was, it was more than acceptable.
There is no indoor dining, so if you want to enjoy your ice cream at the location, you’ll have to sit outside. When I went, I sat outside to eat, but then the lawn sprinklers turned on and started spraying water at everyone siting on benches/at tables on said lawn. Not ideal, but it was...
