Michael's on Main — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

I just want to give a shout out to Michael's on Main New City where I had my baby shower this past weekend . I cannot say enough how amazing they were to work with. The owners are kind, friendly, and truly so accommodating (from table set up, linen napkin colors, to lighting, temperature, clean up, and more.) The communication from start of planning to finish was amazing and it’s nice that you’re the only people in the restaurant during your event. Loreinnie, one of the owners, was so patient in answering all of my questions, and having alternatives for all my guests who have celiacs, are vegetarian, and have nut allergies. She even coordinated and created the menu for each place setting according to my theme. On the day of, the food of course was delicious (starters, salad, entree choices, and dessert), and complimented by many guests afterwards to me . Their service was perfect and they even packed up all leftovers from different parts of the meals so my guests could take them to go . We did not feel rushed and everything went so smoothly thanks to their professionalism and interpersonal skills. I had just about 30 people, and would not hesitate to have another party there again in the future....

I wish I had known about this place sooner. Left a 25% tip. Superb service from Rosie (waitress) and the runners, not to mention the busboy who assured our water glasses never went dry.

Food overall was 9/10. My entree, a salmon dish, was cooked impeccably. My wife's, a steak, was cooked fine as well. Salads, dessert, apps, even the bread were all excellent. The only point of improvement was that the broccoli rabe surrounding the salmon was tough to chew, and the steak was a little overcooked. That said, the meal was a comprehensive great way to have an anniversary dinner.

The most marvelous implementation of Michael's on Main is their seating arrangement: two dining rooms where couples are segregated from families. If you want a romantic dinner here, you can have it. If you want to bring your kids to a fancy restaurant, you can have it. This place caters to everyone.

This hard-to-find place is a diamond in the rough. Tip 25%. Be a decent customer. Enjoy the ambience. Celebrate that an haute monde eating establishment like this exists in little ol' New City. We'll be...

I stopped by last night for my husband’s and my birthday dinner. I want to start off by saying that the staff was great! The owner Edgar was super friendly and made our experience great. The food and drinks were absolutely incredible. My husband and I had the lobster dumplings as an appetizer. The sauce it came it was amazing and the dumplings just melted in your mouth. For my entree I had the shrimp migliori. The owner, Edgar, and our server (forgot to get her name) both said it was their favorite dish on the menu and they were right! It was incredible. I loved how they added jumbo shrimp and had more than 3 shrimps on the plate. My husband’s dish was the penne vodka with chicken. It was the best penne vodka he has had ever! Our dessert was recommended by Edgar. We had the cronut with ice cream. One word AMAZING. Definitely...
