Posa Posa Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

A completely nondescript restaurant tucked away in a strip mall that looks like million other ones across the USA Posa Posa is little gem. You enter the place and looks like a very casual Pizza joint, but tucked away in the back is a quieter restaurant, not so crowded and a completely different atmosphere to the front of the restaurant. The menu is quite extensive with a variety of very typical Italian favorites and all the usual suspects. I ordered Ravioli with Bolognese sauce on top. This comes with a side salad. When I found out what type of salad it was and I heard that it is the most common, boring iceberg lettuce, I asked if they had something else. The waiter told me that he can substitute it for an Arugula salad which I went for. They provided some fresh, warm Italian bread and butter to go along with this. The Arugula salad was a delight! Came with my choice of Honey Mustard dressing and cheese toppings, plus green and black olives and Croutons. The Croutons were the nicest finish to an excellent salad which I enjoyed greatly. The Ravioli came next. It was piping hot and freshly made. I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool off before I could dig in. Was delicious and the Bolognese too. Never received my order. When you order online it’s a 3rd party service called Slice. I waited 1.2 hours for the delivery person to call me. It never happened. A call center in India did call me saying the driver could not get into the building. I told the call center that it’s weird the driver didn’t just call me and they agreed. I told them I would immediately head down to the lobby/front door. Went down to the lobby and out into the parking lot. No driver in sight. I’m at the Doubletree Hotel and the front door works just fine. Called Posa Posa, spoke to the owner and was told that all I can do is call Slice and try to get a refund. If you actually want pizza delivered I would steer clear of this place altogether. No empathy or help from anyone involved. To top it all off, this is my birthday and was REALLY hoping to try this pizza with great reviews! Silly me

Update: I asked the front desk if a pizza was delivered, they said someone who doesn’t speak English came in and couldn’t provide a name on the order and that they left immediately. The front desk did provide me with the time the person came to deliver and it was before I received the...

Left a small(12% or so) tip due to my dissatisfaction with the service of the night I was there and was fraudulently charged a 20% tip on my bank statement. Will never go back.

Service was okay until we were unable to split the check(our fault, since we asked at the end and would've let it go but it continues). Then wrote a note to make things easy in splitting the payment for the total bill, they split it 3 even ways, so 2 of the card owners decided whatever tip they were going to get, was now gone. I wasn't so harsh and left a small tip because it was alright up until then. When we received our bank statement all of us were charged a full 20% tip which was unauthorized by us.
