Hi, We had our daughter's birthday party there yesterday March 26, 2023. The waitress that helped us with our party was very much inattentive. She should not be working with children regularly, especially for their once-in-a-year birthday parties. There should be someone working with these kids that goes above and beyond to make them feel very special on their special day. I can't even remember the person name that helped us that is how inattentive she was. We would get called out over the speaker from the kids playing games to come to the table and they would not even be ready for us. Once it was for the pizza and it wasn't ready. Then we needed more cups for adult guests and we had to search the whole store to find her. She was off chatting with a co-worker. Then all the kids are waiting by the table for nothing. There was another time we were called away from them playing games to come to the ticket blaster machine but another waitress was there attending to another child and said we would have to wait for our waitress to come and that it wasn't her job to do our session with the Ticket blaster. I then had to go find our waitress to ask why were we called for the ticket blaster and then no one was there to do ours. She said "I asked my co-worker to do it for me because I was cleaning up" the other person denied she ever said this. It finally was our turn and she could not get the machine "unlocked" so she had to call her manager over to do it for her. This all took 30 mins away from our birthday girl to play with her friends and use the 2 hours of unlimited play time. We did not feel that she was included in the birthday celebration with Chuck-e-cheese. They did all of the kids as a big group and kids that weren't even the birthday kids were all around so my daughter was scared because she didn't know what was going on and why it was not her birthday celebration. I don't know if this was a typical party at chuck-e-cheese but I have attended many other parties and it was not at all like this. I have a video of our waitress and the other waitress that was rude singing the birthday song and you could see how they were not enthusiastic even 1% doing this part of their job. If you want please tell me where to upload this video and I will gladly show it. I am posting this because it should be rectified immediately so another birthday party does not end up like this. I feel to work at chuck e cheese there should be someone that loves kids, has a lot of patience, and smiles while on the job. I hope this review helps make the Latham Chuck-E-Cheese better...
Read moreChuck E. Cheese in the Latham Troy Albany area, may be a little difficult to find (ignore your GPS telling you to do U Turns and turn at the steak house it's on that side of the road but if u blindly follow GPS I dunno if u can even get there. Place seemed clean enough, hectic with kids but I mean, it would be weird if it wasnt. If you want to "schedule" a birthday package dont try to do it the day of, and theres good and bad sides of planning an official party or not. The little extras reserving a party gets you will absolutely add to your kids experience and make them feel very special but, my apologies to C.E.C. HQ but if you just go and dont plan the party you wont feel as tho your experience was lacking anything really, just be proactive and plan and think about how much stuff you need for the amount of ppl u have. C.E.C. has gone the way of the arcade world or maybe they set the trend who knows but it's the "load a card" style pay for play and essentially comes down to a little ride for ur tot who cant navigate video games yet or a game who's ultimate goal is get tickets. Tickets then exchanged for toys....not the arcade my dad and I fell into so many memories but hey think about Christmas 1989 vs Christmas 2016 and it's just our world. I had 3 kids with me 2 girls, 12 and 8 and a boy 3, I spent 100$ on loading cards with points so they could play games and we left with some, but the way they do it, at 130 for 30$ u dont mind 250 for 20$ more. If your gonna go to a place like chuck e cheese them winning tickets regardless how u feel about it is the point. Consider casino science and how it can be applied to children and that's what's going on. If my family and i didnt have such a great day I would take at least a star off, weather it's the training and business model and amount of staff corporate feels is needed on a frickin sat afternoon but, if your going to go here do not have high expectations from staff. Anyone who's been there any amount of time of takes any pride in they're job has been smart enough to attain a title that somehow insulates them from direct customer service and the staff your stuck dealing with directly are the highschoolers and 5th job since January crew, be prepared to wait, or not sweat taking care of things yourself. On the busy Saturday I was there I saw one great employee working cash register, blonde girl, not old, is best I can do for description, worst employee was highschool girl at door letting ppl...
Read moreWe’ve been coming to Chuck E. Cheese for years, and while mistakes happen from time to time, the staff has always been accommodating — until today. I want to start by saying Mekkhi was wonderful. He took our order and was friendly, patient, and professional throughout.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the manager on duty, Ida. When our food came out, it was completely wrong — we had ordered an XL pepperoni pizza with no garlic crust and no sauce, and instead received a large cheese pizza. While it’s not the first time our order has been incorrect, in the past, staff has always been happy to fix it without issue.
However, Ida handled the situation in an incredibly unprofessional and frankly shocking manner. Instead of offering to remake the pizza, she attempted to charge us for a new one — despite the mistake being on their end. When we pointed that out, she became visibly irritated and sarcastically said, “So take back this cheese pizza then.” I was stunned. Who speaks to a customer like that — especially in a family environment and given how expensive it is to dine here?
I’m appalled by her attitude and lack of basic customer service. This experience was deeply disappointing, and I do intend to contact Chuck E. Cheese corporate to file a formal complaint about how this was handled. Families spend their hard-earned money here to give their kids a good time — the least we should receive in return is respectful and...
