The food is ok but the main issue is the asian lady who is the greeter, server, owner, bartender, cook and everything else. She is very rude, pushy, and disrespectful. We have been here for a few years and this is the last time we will be eating there. She was very pushy when it came to the menu and kept insisting on items we did not want and when we did not order them she had an attitude. She kept harassing my daughter that she ordered chicken tenders and fries and not something more expensive she even came with another menu. My daughter does not eat seafood but the asian manager kept making her feel bad about what she ordered even at one point she pointed at her acne and tried to make her feel bad that she ordered fried food. Everytime she came to our table she made a rude comment to my daugher about what she ate and how much she ate. She made her feel uncomfortable and not want to eat anything When people go out to eat they do not want to feel shamed about their meal choices. She made the whole meal awkward and uncomfortable. The worst part is the forced gratuity that she did not deserve we were not going to tip her anything because of how she was acting amd when I got the bill I saw she already added gratuity. The manager/owner should not be the server because she has no people skills and can barely speak English. Everytime we have came here there has always been an issue with the owner being rude and disrespectful. We will never be returning to eat here and thank you for ruining the occasion for my daughter's birthday. We spent almost $250 for a bad experience, overpriced food with small portions that made 3 out of 6 of us sick from the seafood boil the other 3 did not get sick because they didn't order any seafood. This place is always empty for a reason. I would give this place a 0...
Read moreThis place is laughably awful. Called before dinner hours to ask if we would need a reservation for a party of 6 (especially due to it being Father’s Day) and the person on the phone said “don’t worry, it won’t be necessary to reserve” but we decided to make one anyway just in case. They confirmed. We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by one of the servers (red/strawberry blonde hair) who immediately asked if we had a reservation — we explained that we were told we wouldn’t need one by the person on the phone but that we did have a name down. She responded by saying “well, he definitely lied…” and then continued on with “we can’t take you… plus if we seat you now, it will be about 30 minutes before any of us even say ‘hello’ to you… I have a table of 10 I haven’t even gotten drinks for… there’s only 2 of us and we are so understaffed today”. This was shocking to hear as someone who runs an actually busy restaurant in NYC/has been in hospitality for nearly 20 years. It was as if she took pleasure in having absolutely NO hospitality skills or experience with customer service. I couldn’t help but laugh at how terrible her guest-facing skills were! Also WHERE is the manager??!? Not just today but when actually hiring these clowns to be the face of your establishment. A word of advice: no matter how weeded you are, NEVER make your guests feel like a burden or share the ugly side of service with them. Kindly let them know you’re unable to take any new tables and inform them of the wait time until they can be seated. But considering the way we were treated today, I highly doubt the owners/management (if they even have a manager) will care enough to improve. Never thought I’d say this but I miss the Ruby Tuesday that was here before. This place will not last purely based on how terrible...
Read moreWhen we got there at 6:00 on a Saturday and there were almost no cars in the parking lot, I knew we should turn around and go somewhere else. I wish I had made that decision. I will start by saying our server was so nice. It was his 2nd week serving and he did a really nice job. First we ordered appetizers, which consisted of fried pickles and crawfish tails. They were your run of the mill fried food. The entrees were not good at all. 1 person ordered the fried scallop dinner and they had absolutely no flavor, our guess would be they were not real scallops at all but some other fish like pollak or shark... 2 of us got the weekend special boil, it had shrimp, snow crab and lobster tail. The lobster tails were not edible. We told our server we could not eat them, he ended up getting a manager, who offered us some sort of sauce to help us eat them. We told her it could not help. The menu shows Main Lobster, these were not that at all. They had a really hard shell, the meat was overcooked you struggled to cut it with a knife or chew it (not that you wanted to chew it) she gave us a story about Main lobster being hard to get, so they are using these. I did not buy her story, but even if it was true, people should be notifed they are using a different type. She was a little defensive, and said I can give you sauce. She did not offer something different, drink or anything. If she had, we would have refused, but an apology or an offer goes a long way. When she became defensive, I told her that I am telling her these things so they are aware and could make changes. I said you obviously have a problem or you would have customers at 6 p.m. on A Saturday night. My guess is they will not be in business long. I would never go...
