Would you buy from or sell to someone who openly brags about being high on pain killers while at work?
I went to the store with some sports equipment to sell, or at the very least get priced to compare to other store that might buy it. Before I had even taken the box out of the car, the gentlemen who opened the store came out and dove straight into how what he saw at the top of the box was worthless. Our conversation was less than a minute long before, unprompted, he referenced being dropped off to work, how pain killers are the s**t, and that it was pretty fun to be at work with his "Vike & Ikes". I DON'T KNOW WHY HE TOLD ME THIS! Anyway, I'm fine with being told that my equipment was out of date and they wouldn't buy it, but only if he had taken the time to look through the entire box before saying I'm better off donating all of it. While he rambled about his drug use and back pain, I had asked about the baseballs and gold balls at the bottom of the box, but he was clearly more occupied and didn't listen. I hadn't even shown him the other items in my car when he started to stumble back into the store. This was the only staff member in the store at the time. The entire store was left to a drugged out employee who would rather ride his high than provide an ounce of customer service. I know this location is up for sale. Hopefully the next owner will do a more thorough time screening their staff.
I used to work at a play it again, any decent boss would have been horrified if we had treated a customer with this level disinterest and was high while doing it.....I wish I could give this experience less...
Read moreI've bought a ton of stuff at this store over the years and was never treated like a valued customer at any time. The owner of this store has the worst customer service skills on the planet, and the staff has apparently been trained to have the same "screw you" attitude as the boss. The last straw for me was a pair of BRAND NEW cross country ski boots i bought (hard to find item) that lost an eyelet the second time i laced them up. Called the store about an exchange, and got an insulting attitude from the employee, claiming some nonsense about my having owned the boots too long for an exchange, even though i had them for less than 2 months, and only used them once. This place does NOT stand by the new products they sell, and they treat their customers like crap. Do yourself a favor and just buy new gear from a real sporting goods store. If i could give it zero stars...
Read moreLast year the customer service I received was extremely friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in til the minute we left. Today a different person was at the counter & it was a horrible experience, if I could rate it a zero I would. From not being greeted when we walked in, to the guy literally ruining/breaking apart the heel of the skates we wanted to trade in, to no one checking on us while we were there & no lights on in the back by the skates & it was very dim. But I was most annoyed because the skates were brand new when we bought them last season & they were only used 15-20x at the most & he twisted & jammed apart the heel until they came unglued. They were perfectly fine until he ruined them. If I do ever go back to the store, I will certainly turn right around & leave if I see him again. Awful...
