⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 “Hidden Gem on the Way to Montauk!”
Every time we head out to Montauk, our first stop—without question—is always Tutto Caffè in East Hampton. It’s one of those rare places that instantly feels like a part of your tradition, even after just one visit. Tucked away from the more obvious main spots, this café truly feels like a hidden gem that more people should know about (but selfishly, we almost want to keep it to ourselves).
The ambiance is simple yet elegant—cozy, welcoming, with a laid-back Hamptons charm. You can tell there’s thought behind everything, from the perfectly brewed coffee to the friendly and attentive staff. It’s the kind of place where you can sit outside and relax in the morning sun, or tuck into a warm corner and recharge before continuing your journey.
We usually come for breakfast, and this time we ordered the avocado toast and sunny side up eggs. Both were absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. The only thing we noticed is that the portions are on the smaller side. Not a dealbreaker at all, especially considering the quality, but we do wish they were just a little more generous, especially after a long drive.
One suggestion: it would be amazing to see an Eggs Benedict option on the menu one day. A classic like that would be a perfect fit here, and we’d be the first to order it!
Overall, Tutto Caffè continues to be one of our favorite stops along the way to Montauk. Great coffee, great food, great people—and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Highly...
Read moreI am so disappointed by the management at this restaurant. I went in with my daughter who got a hot chocolate (with no lid) and while I was waiting for my drink we had a seat inside. There was a dog across from us who approached my daughter and barked very loudly in her face which caused her to jump and spill the hot chocolate all over her hands and clothing. While this is no fault of the restaurant’s, I am upset with how it was handled. We did not get an apology from the owners of the dog or the manager of Tutto. When I told the manager he shrugged and said “well what do you want me to do”. I was surprised that they didn’t ask the owners of the dog to bring it outside and did not get an apology from the manager. I’m so sad because I really enjoyed this place as someone who is a year rounder. There was one waiter who was super apologetic and handled it as best he could, but the manager seemed upset with him for even bringing him (the manager) over to me. So after spending $10 on a subpar mocha and my daughter’s brand new winter coat and jeans, (which she was supposed to go caroling in this evening) being ruined for the day and her hand getting burnt because of no lid, I am extremely...
Read moreYou will Iove this place if you have low expectations, no taste, and deep pockets. I’ve been coming to the Hamptons for years and find it shocking how the new places are charging so much for so little. A large part of the menu at Tutto Caffe is reserved for “small” desserts and mini croissant sandwiches with a croissant measuring no longer than 2 inches that includes a sliver of salami for $9. Generally, these menu items are a single bite or less and cost between $7 and $11.
They do serve larger paninis, but they are very bland and underwhelming. Their prosciutto and burrata panini for some reason came out warm and had a mushy texture. To balance, they include a couple of spinach leaves (yes, only spinach leaves) on the side covered in olive oil and a little vinegar.
Don’t get me wrong, I have no issues paying for quality, but given the poor food quality their pricing should be similar to the Starbucks around the corner.
To round out this review out on a positive note, the decor is well done, space is inviting, and the staff is friendly. If they can improve the quality of the food this will be a perfect spot to sit and have a...
