What a horrible, tasteless, classless and RACIST experience. I first went to this bar during the week with a few friend and it was completely empty so overall a fine time however when I returned today I was greeted with the most uncomfortable and inappropriate service from whom stated she was the owner but would not provide her name when asked for it (her picture is attached to this review). After closing out our check without us request it, the owner decided to approach us and say “ you didn’t order enough drinks and stayed to long, this is not your house” “ I am the owner and do not want your KIND of PEOPLES business here” “I had to turn away other people because of you”. As we sat in disbelief, as two minorities being spoken to in this manner, we regulated our emotions and responded accordingly by stating that most restaurants/bars give notice if there is a time limit to turn over the table so that they can capitalize on their financial intake. The owner stated that money wasn’t the issue. We proceeded to say that we would have paid for the table but we did not want to consume any more alcohol and she she answered “I just don’t want your business”. As someone that has worked in the service industry I have never seen such poor, insulting and not to mention bad business approach comparable to this and as a Therpaist I fear the language that the owner chose to use on her patrons could be detrimental on levels that she may not understand. This women should never speak to a customer again nor be the face of this...

On my last visit to Whistling Rail, I had some work I had to do that I did at a local restaurant in the area and I had my boyfriend with me who has never went and I really wanted to show him this amazing spot! He’s really good with being a DD so I was really hoping they can make him a great mocktail and the bartender came up and asked us for our drinks and he came up with this amazing one for him with raspberry and mint. Mine was their oat milk grasshopper cocktail which made me very happy as a vegan since there are barely any cocktails with non-dairy milk at not all vegan spots. The drinks were absolutely delicious and we were treated so well by everyone! My boyfriend and I had a great time and we were able to talk about a lot of things and I was able to...

The drinks here are pretty good and I've always enjoyed coming here but the service tonight was beyond rude. My date and I were enjoying cocktails and had been given the bill, but no one had ever come back to ask us to pay. All of a sudden a manager came and started yelling at us that we had been there too long and had to leave and someone was waiting for our table. The place was by no means crowded and we had no way of knowing that there was anyone waiting. It was bizarre behavior and I won't be going back. Normal managers politely explain that other people are waiting for the table and ask if you would mind ordering another drink or vacating the table, but to raise her voice like that as if we were misbehaving children was...

Great bartenders. Nice ambience. Great for drinks anytime. It's tucked away in the train station... you almost have to know where the door is... kind of a speakeasy. The Spanish gin and tonic is very refreshing... .take it one step further and order it without the tonic, i.e.. a martini... has rosemary herb and juniper berries. There is a smoky drink with bourbon and the smoke is infused as they make it. I don't remember the name of the drink but they will know. The only downside is that it is very small so it'll be hit or miss if you can get a table or seat at the bar.
