Favorite pizza in Westchester. I grew up in Mount Vernon and was introduced at an early age to the authentic, delicious pizza in Fleetwood. A high bar was set. I then spent my adult years living in NYC and having access to Little Italy's best pizzeria's, among others. A higher bar was set. All that said, at Cosimo and Johnny's, everything is perfectly focused on quality and taste - sauce and crust especially. The owner and staff are so accommodating and pizza-positive. One time I was late picking up my pizza - they close at 8:30 and waited for me until 8:40. Another time I was given a free pizza at the end of the night b/c someone didn't pick up their pizza. Now that is going above and beyond. I love the way they are old-school, and only focus on Pizza and Calzone's - nothing to distract them from making exceptional local Pizza. Keep up the great pizza-making. (Oh - and just a side-note: the bathrooms are super clean which I always appreciate; extremely rare for a...
Read moreI LOVE pizza! I am a Bronx born woman but moved to Westchester in the 70’s. I live to find pizza that I like. When I was told that Cosimo & Johnny’s is the same family as Louie & Ernie’s in the Bronx, I was thrilled!!!! Since finding them in Eastchester (15 Min drive from my house and well worth the drive); I frequently take out and do my friends. Their pizza is so good! The Sicilian pie is amazing! Light and crispy! The gravy/sauce they use is makes it tasty. We have had most all their pizzas and have never been disappointed! The sausage is my favorite. I tried the fried calzone but taking that out did no work out as well as I hoped. It’s definitely an eat in experience! But do try it! One of my favorite pizza places. The owners are...
Read moreAwesome pizza, nice and thin crispy, great sauce - these guys know what they are doing. Really nice girl behind the counter. We are just passing through from MA and decided to try a random pizza place and I’m glad we stopped here. Will definitely be back on the way home!
Update: we were on a road trip and passing through and decided to order a large cheese to go because we were so so pleased last time; unfortunately the pizza we received was definitely made way earlier in the day and reheated for 2 minutes- the crust was floppy and the cheese was cold. Disappointed is an understatement! Knocking off a star and hoping that they can redeem themselves and this was a one...
