SAVERS—A HAPPY EXPERIENCE :)

*HAVE you ever been in a store where they hang their pants as pictured ? No other store I’ve ever been to hangs their pants like that ! This store really just made clear the adaptable art of creativity , helping all to see that creativity can be implemented even in the most menial tasks , which makes things fun cool and interesting . So happy to see things like that ! XD

*WELL other than that , I found this really cool vintage looking flower bag to carry shopbloombloom stuff in , and it actually turned out to be a really beautiful background on which I could snap up the pictures . That made me happy ! :)

*AND FINALLY the customer service deserves a special S/O . Although it was self check out available , the two young women (or maybe three ?) eagerly took the initiative to help me , especially one of them . It was a moment when you realize that wow ! The workers actually take personal interest in me . I think that’s what it should feel like to be a customer…right ? To say the least , one of the managers even helped me to apply the promo deal to my order , and very quickly too . So yeah the customer service made me very happy too .

I've been going to this Saver's since it opened and was the only one in our area (now there's 2). It is a clean thrift store that is well organized. For that, it deserves 5 stars. So for instance, if you want to go thrifting, but your friend hates "dirty thrift stores," bring them to Savers and they'll be pleasantly surprised. But as far as stuff goes, it's hit or miss on treasure and it is ridiculously expensive. I'm talking $8.99 for a Losman Bill's jersey or $7.99 for a Target brand used tee-shirt. Anything with a brand label is always very high priced, even if the brand itself not designer (like Vera Bradley). So it's a nice, clean, sometimes got good stuff thrift store. I'll always stop if I'm nearby because I love to thrift, but I've yet to really score here, sadly. So as far as greatest hits of thrifts, it lands in the middle.

Other notables: ample parking, carts on premise, wheelchair accessible and friendly. Dressing rooms still closed for Covid...

Feel bad giving one star after 10 years of fun shopping here, but at my visit today I was made to go through the self checkout and told they're getting everyone used to it because there'll be no more cashier service. The only reason I ever go to a brick and mortar store as a virtual-working shut-in is to get some social interaction in that nice conversation with a cashier who's doing the work while all I have to do is smile and slowly drag my wallet out. So now you're expected to work on a frustrating machine and feel like a fool while you pay, with no pleasant small talk, buying at prices you could find on your favorite auction website? A physical store can never compete with online if pure convenience and cost-cutting is all that matters. You need that bit of service and interaction to make it an experience of some kind.
