We moved into the area a little over 6 months ago. Since then, the search has been on for our pizza place. I think we have found it! It is a few dollars more than the others that we tried but well worth it!
My mother, for her birthday, wanted to go out for pizza. She picked Anthony’s after being told it was delicious. We started with appetizers of meatballs, wings, eggplant and salad. The meatballs were big and dense. The sauce was perfectly seasoned. The eggplant was cut thin, breaded and fried. Seasoned beautifully and with the same sauce as the meatballs so it was a hit. The wings are made in the same brick oven as the pizza. They get a beautiful char and are served with delicious sautéed onions. The salad was big enough for the 7 of us to share and had chick peas, egg, tomato and lettuce.
Now the main course! We ordered one large pie, traditional cheese and sauce, and one roasted cauliflower. OMG! They were both fantastic. The regular pizza had the perfect balance of sauce to cheese. The crust was crunchy but not too crunchy and the sauce, as I said earlier, was fantastic! The cauliflower pizza had Roasted Cauliflower with Olive Oil & Garlic, Romano & Mozzarella Cheese, Topped Off with Bread Crumbs. It was insanely good! One of the best specialty pies I have ever had an I am a definite carnivore.
Can’t wait to have it again! Sorry for the lack of pictures. It was a little dark and we were all...

Ordered a Create your own 12" with Mushrooms, Ricotta, Extra sauce and Basil and I will tell you it is the absolute best brick oven pizza I have had anywhere in New York! It weighed a ton and was absolutely delicious! Bravo to whoever created this masterpiece! I order from this restaurant quite often on GrubHub and it's always great. When I found myself waiting for a train to come in I decided to try it in person. It was awful! First of all the person who seats you also takes phone orders, and even though she's making eye contact with you, the phone is her priority. The atmosphere is very loud, very uncomfortable, and the old Ground Round immediately came to mind, including the kids and the baby strollers. I ordered the same items that I get on GH and it was horrible! The tomatoes in the salad were rock hard and mostly white. They should never have been served. The Eggplant Marino is always enough for 2 but was a very small portion, maybe 3" across and cold. The focaccia was scorched and not in a good way. Tasted like dirty oven. Service was as good as it could be under the overcrowded circumstances. I'll continue to order on GH, but this wasn't a pleasant dinner...

I ordered online directly through their site for delivery at 5:40pm for delivery at 7pm and they partner with Doordash to deliver their food. It was a simple mushroom pizza and a salad. 7:10 food still isn’t at my home. I look at the email confirmation which has a link to track on doordash and says still pending and no driver enroute to pickup my order. I call the restaurant and ask the manager about my order. He says they are having issues with doordash tonight and apologized profusely and insists on his in house team delivering my order. 7:45 my order shows up from a young lady who also is very apologetic and told me they through in another pie and 2 pieces of cheesecake on the house. Truly amazing service! The food was always great but this makes me a customer for a long time. Please please please support this restaurant and all restaurants during this trying time on our industry! Huge Thank You to the team at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza...
