Bagel Boss — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Hi! Today my friend and I had our usual meeting and lunch at Bagel Boss Hewlett. A few things happened that were upsetting. We each chose a salad that was prepared and my friend chose the classic tuna one and I wanted a veggie tuna with the salad. I didn't see it. I asked the counter girl if she could switch it to veggie tuna and she said NO, I was shocked. For years, I always switch to a small scoop of a different tuna different from the one in the prepared salad and everyone always switched it for me.

My friend and I each had the same girl prepare our orders. My friend asked for an egg to be added in and to chop her salad. She asked for honey mustard dressing on the side. I asked for my salad to be chopped too. I did not ask for anything extra and I requested balsamic dressing on the side. When the girl put it on the tray, she put the veggie label on my chopped salad with a small container of honey mustard dressing that she put on top of her plastic container. She placed the balsamic dressing on top of my container. My friend also ordered a bagel, lentil soup and a little butter on the side.

I began eating my salad first and after I was about half way through, I saw the white of a hard boiled egg. I immediately told my friend. She was still eating her soup but she opened her salad and used to fork to check her salad. Her salad did not have the hard boiled egg. This means that the salads were switched at some point, accidently. WE DID NOT SWITCH OUR SALADS since my salad said veggie on it and had the balsamic dressing and my friend's label said classic and had the honey dressing on it.

My friend spoke to the girl and the girl said that WE SWITCHED THE SALADS, NOT HER.

My friend was told that we each paid extra money to have our salads chopped! THIS WAS NEVER THE CASE IN THE PAST.

Also, my friend was charged a $1 or $2 for the butter in the small container!

We were never told a. that it was extra money to chop the salads b. that butter costs extra money

In the past, we had free chopping, free side of butter and I always changed the type of tuna that came in the prepared salad.

I thought that in business, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!

Also, right before we left, we asked the girl for the manager and a young woman came and spoke in Spanish to the counter girl who helped us and told her what we said about the salads being switched. Our counter girl said that WE SWITCHED THE SALADS AND NOT HER. Also, I said to the manager, you should at least give my friend, an egg since the girl made a mistake. She thought about it and said, "Is that all you want?" and the counter girl told the manager to charge us for the egg! This was quite rude. We didn't want to cause a scene and the manager went and gave my friend a hard boiled egg without charging her.

Can you explain why there are all these costly changes at BAGEL BOSS HEWLETT and why I could not change my scoop for another type of tuna?

I personally love, Bagel Boss and everything they have in store. bagel is usually my go to place for late-night food with a great environment and a friendly atmosphere. Usually, my experience goes smoothly and I would recommend the store to everyone tonight. It was not like I walked in with some of my friends Bagel's boss is a little bit active. There are a lot of people in the store and we order food we sit down waiting for our food and I guess that the night manager comes over to us and starts yelling at us. She told us to leave the store and we made it keep in mind. Bagel Boss is a 24 seven establishment open to everyone I asked her if Bagel Boss is a 24 seven establishment why can we not wait inside for our food? She says you guys ruined our store up inside the place dirty Me and the lady go back and forth. I even showed her the website advertising as 24-seven she said she does not care and she’s calling the cops. I’m not going to go in-depth about what the cop said, but there were approximately nine cops to my few friends. The cops made us leave, but they left a very distasteful taste in my mouth bagel. Boss is usually the place for us to go at night to get a quick bite after a long night. But the night manager was disrespectful and I will not be shopping back here ever again. I wish everyone to do the same and I don’t know if it was the kippah on my head or the personal anti-Semitism from this worker at the store but me and my friends will never be...

I am very ashamed to post this but after twenty years of being a loyal customer to bagel boss my loyalty has finally come to an end. I have been going to this bagel boss since 2001, always Incredible food nice bagels - pricy but hey it's kosher food what do you expect . Anyways i came and placed an order and the cashier rung it up and I paid but I forgot a bag on the table. I left to go eat at the park . By the time I walked to the park I open my bag and realized one of the orders is not there and I need to go back to get it as I paid for it . I walk back all hungry and patiently wait on the long line and ask the same lady who made my order if she happened to see the bag I left on the counter and If I could have it. She immediately barks at me saying I didn't leave the bag there I must have dropped it outside. Ok ma'am can you please just look to see if it's there I just spent 45 dollars on breakfast I'd like to have my full order. she completely ignores my request and tells me that the bag isn't there and to go check outside. finally another lady sees the bag right behind her and asks is this it ? I open to see my croissant. Anyways point of this story is that she couldn't even turn around and check . Like come on lady I'm not trying to make ur life difficult I just want what...
