China King — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Avoid this restaurant at all cost, I used to enjoy the food here. Now it’s disgusting, I don’t know if there’s new owners, but things have definitely changed. I eat here once or twice a week, when I get off work too late to cook. I call in the order and pick it up. Last week they forgot the Pepper steak dinner I ordered. I had to go back to the restaurant. After i already got undressed, and ready to relax. They were very apologetic about the mistake.

The next order I order Moo Shu Chicken. They forgot the pancakes that the Moo Shu Chicken goes in. My boyfriend had to get dress, and drive to the restaurant. They apologize about the mistakes once more. A week later which is today, I ordered Curry Chicken; I received curry shrimp. And there were 4 small shrimp in the whole order. The rest was Onions, and peppers. I called and told the guy they gave me the wrong order. He tells me I ordered curry shrimp. I told him I order Chicken, he says no I did not. My boyfriend went to pick up the order he repeated the order to the guy. He said it’s Curry Chicken right? The guy told him yes he repeated the order to him twice. To confirm it was the right thing. And he said yes, well it wasn’t the correct order..

He said I can come, and pick up the curry chicken. I said no thank you this happens way too much. And I have to go all the way back there. Each time they make a mistake. I spend way too much money there. I said unfortunately I will not order there anymore. The guy said ok, he didn’t apologize for the mistake or tell me not to stop ordering. He said nothing. They do not value their customers at all. They do not have good customer service. I gave them many chances after they kept leaving out food I paid good money for. They don’t care about the people in the community; that keeps their business running. Don’t waste your time the food isn’t that good like it used to be. I will spend my...

I wasn't too thrilled about my recent visit to China King. I ordered the Sesame Chicken lunch special with pork fried rice. The rice tasted okay, but the chicken was a bit too sinewy for my tastes. I ended up having to spit out several mouthfuls of unchewable bits back into my dish. I really should've had napkins with me.

The lady that took my order was very nice and the place looked pretty clean. The lunch prices were reasonable as well; I think it was about $6.50 total for my lunch.

China King is located in the dreadful Baldwin Shopping Center (though to be fair, the shopping center has been improving slowly over the years). There are plenty of parking spots, but people tend to drive like maniacs around it with absolutely no regard for other humans' lives. I'm willing to give this place another try, but I'll likely order something...

This place used to be good and I say used to. I would always head over in the Baldwin for their boneless spare ribs their fried rice, it was great.

Unfortunately I went today to get what I would always get when I wasn't crazy hungry which was some wonton soup. I don't know if it was just old meat but I couldn't stomach it after the first bite. It tasted like a chemical or a plastic or what I would think Styrofoam would taste like.

I did a little digging and the wonton noodle itself was great The broth was okay needed a bit of salt, but it was okay, and then I tried the meat and it was just, can't stomach this because if I put this in my tummy it's going to be a mistake and a mess.
