Royal Roti Shop — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Absolutely no flavor. My wife had to toss her meal in the garbage and make something else. (Curry chicken roti). The roti was rubbery. No doubles available. On top of that they forgot to put a meal I ordered in the bag and when I drove back( no recipe was given, I paid cash) the guy who originally dished it out (rice and chicken, ) gave me half the portion from the one they didn't pack. When I brought it to their attention, he said that's it. I asked for my money back, he said now he was second guessing himself that I took it. Basically calling me a lier. The rice and chicken was over cooked and pasty with a burnt flavor. Another dish in the garbage. I know it's a new restaurant and I wanted to support a local business. As you can see how many reviews I have, I wouldn't be making this up. My son's ate part of their meals because they were hungry but said the food was not good. I had the shrimp roti. There was no more than 6 tiny shrimp. Barely any flavor. Most of it had to be thrown out. I would not recommend this place for anything. Huge waste of money. Unfortunately I had high hopes...

Just came back from this place got an eggball and a few other items. I'm a regular customer since they opened and honestly the food has never been 100% but I've been try to support a local Caribbean place. NOW TODAY WAS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE!! I bought an eggball and a few other items, non were great as usual but the egg was not cooked in the eggball. It literally spilled when we cut the eggball open. I called to let them know, they transferred me to 3 different people to repeat the thing. When I was getting transferred to the 4th person I said why are you asking me what's wrong again I just told 3 people. And I know you heard becasue someone yelled something like "it's the eggball issue again" Clearly it's an issue someone else reported today. This place had me phone wasting time, laughing, lying, and not even offering any solutions or apologies.

I was going to go show them the eggball but for $3 its not even worth it. I will just never come back here and will be telling everyone I know in freeport/baldwin the lack of service and...

This place allowed me to swipe(GOOD TO GO APP), after it showing they were sold out. I said order showed sold out. She checked her phone, then i could swipe. I swiped then she starts preparing 1 dish a small one at that! I said, this is supposed to be prepared already, she's talking to me like a day one idiot..."I don't know if u have allergies"..I said, how is this a surprise bag if it's not prepared. Give me my money back. Calls her Boss and says they told her they don't get the $$ from this app. Only 1x every 3 months... Sooooo who gives me my refund??? Because I swiped and never got my food...btw, they were laughing and acting as if I'm wrong, this cashier laughed and waved at me. 5yr old kid in the car and thus young woman thought it was funny....I WANT MY REFUND AND THIS experience was horrible food here, went back and they stressing a customer who drove 30min to get an order they didn't have- $5.42...but they're doing this to help...
