Ciro's Restaurant Italian Cuisine — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I would like to start saying that until tonight we were very good customers. Unfortunately, we are no longer. Tonight, we went there with another family so there were 7 of us in total. The waitress gave us the plastic menus and we received our food. Everything was fine until we received the bill. The waitress had given all 7 of us the plastic menus . None of us received the paper menu which was the updated one. We were all in shock when we received our bills. The other family's bill was a difference of 25.00 . Ours was a difference of $5.00. The owner came over to us and said he recognized that we were good customers . He was busy with take out so he told the waitress to give us a paper menu which she did not. Instead of making this right in any way he did nothing. He could have charged us the price on the plastic menu. He could have also simply given us a credit of some sort for our next visit. Maybe just have split the difference. Something, anything would have been acceptable. Instead he blamed us ! How are we supposed to know that his menu prices have changed if you don't give us a...

Lacking that je ne sais quoi that you go out to a restaurant for rather than cook home 🏡.

I'm fully Italian , eat and cook 95%Italian food. So I have not been impressed with the food the few times I've tasted it here.😵‍💫🥺🤔🫤

Staff... They are not friendly,communicative, personable or warm; as good Italian restaurant staff would be expected.

Update: I got the grilled chicken with vegetables and rice off the spanish menu. Delicious. My sister said the menu is healthy and I love healthy and I love homestyle. Very flavorful! The chicken and rice were delicious. The only thing I didnt like was there was something very spicey on one of the carrots so I stuck to the broccoli, mushrooms and onions since I cant have anything spicey at all. They serve authentic tortillas, not the American ones. I would describe this as authentic home cooking. Yum. Really good hearty, healthy meal. Thumbs up from me. I highly recommend trying the Spanish menu.
