Collado Dominican Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I have been ordering from this place because the food is good. The problem are the people who prepare the deliveries. Everytime, i asked for hot sauce or salsa picante but they never send it. Also, last week they forgot to send the mixed vegetables and plantain with my order. And today, they sent me chicken instead of roast pork. I spoke with the owner and he said he was going to send the roast pork when the delivery driver comes back but i have been waiting over an hour now for it. I called them and found out it hasn’t even been sent and the manager who even asked for my phone number is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, we are hungry and have no idea if they will ever bring the food! This is the last time I’m going to order from this place! Feb. 3, 2022 - Reordered from this place because my gf wanted their grilled salmon. I ordered stuffed fillet with yellow rice, grilled salmon with sweet plantain and fried calamari. The grilled salmon came with white rice and 2 small pieces of plantain which were not even ripe, the fillet wasn’t stuffed and drowning in what looked like melted margarine and the calamari was like a dollar each for $9. I called them 3 times and each time they said they were going to check with their boss but they never called back. The person i spoke with even hanged up the phone. Their food is decent but the staff are all dumb and the boss is rude. Didn’t bother correcting...

Update for 7/5/2022 visit… As someone who has frequented this establishment enough times in the 4+ years living in Long Island and consider most employees acquaintances if ever seen in the street, with a broken heart will say, I will no longer step foot inside and or recommend this establishment. I was directly overcharged and while I gave the man whom attended me that evening a chance to correct his ego with common sense, he decided to defend his error. I paid what was asked as I am not one to make a stir but, knew the blatant greed was incorrect. I reached out to the manager that very night to make aware of what had just happened; no resolve received (today is 7/9) Therefore, making my decision in providing this review as I am likely not the only one this man has decided to fraud...

If I could give this zero stars today I would . I normally don’t like to write reviews , however I ordered 2x this week and the food was disgusting. The Pernil dish I ordered I was sent home with a container full of fat . The yellow rice and beans , I received balls of rice in a container with zero flavor . See pics attached . The beans I received was old and had a sour taste . Praying We don’t get sick tonight . I used to eat at this place every week . This restaurant used to be so great and seems like the last 2month they have new workers or change of owner . The quality of the food now has really gone down hill unfortunately. Super disappointment!! I will not be retuning . Sorry I tried a second time...
