Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

If I could give no star at all I would. I came in on Sunday 8/23 to order some food. I was there for about twenty minutes trying to order on the app. I showed the manager the message I was getting stating the web service was down for their location because it placed my order at the Brooklyn store. She was extremely rude saying that other customers did not have a problem with ordering and rudely showed me two receipts (not within 6 feet) of two transactions that went through. She did not try to resolve the issue AT ALL. I was explaining to the cook about the web issue then she yelled CAN YOU PLEASE STEP BACK 6 FEET Even though she was in the same distance of her showing me the two receipts. Then she finally asked the cook what I wanted to order but did not ask me. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with the manager at this location. She is rude. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. VERY RUDE staff. On February 8, 2021 at 6:15pm, I went there to use my royalty points for a sandwich and they refused! I had pushed the button to redeem the code on my phone app 10 minutes before arrival and the staff (dark skinned lady with dark round glasses) refused to let me use my reward points claiming that the staff MUST enter it. However, the instructions on my phone said I could enter it myself and I just have to go to the restaurant within 30 minutes.

The staff had accused me to using the code at another Dickeys 30 plus minutes away (claiming it was only 10 minutes away) and using it again at this one. (with NYC traffic, are you kidding me!??!?!)

I was Never a BBQ Fan until my son introduced me to Dickeys on Rockaway Turnpike in 5 Towns. Apparently for years they have been catering to local precincts. I swear you feel right at home you are allowed to sample foods. The only time I heard about fried Ocra is probably in the movies. They serve that here. Through out the pandemic they were there for the community like you can't believe. The Ribs, Brisket, pulled chicken, rolls, jalapeño beans but my all time favorite THE GREEN BEANS.
