I am highly disappointed with the service that I was provided with at Domino’s Pizza in 475 W Merrick Rd Valley Stream, NY 11580. I ordered my food at around 1 Am on Sunday , June 27th. I am a rewards member for Dominos, so I decided to track my order through the app . I noticed that my order said “Completed” meaning that it got delivered. When I went downstairs to grab my food, unfortunately it was never delivered. I ended up calling the Domino’s pizza at 475 W Merrick Rd Valley Stream, NY 11580. The man who picked up the call already knew why I was calling as if he was expecting my call. When I asked him about my order not being delivered, he said “The delivery man came to my house and called my phone and I never picked up the phone , so he left and decided not to deliver the order” I subscribed to Domino’s text notifications and I have proof where it never sent me the delivered message.
The man who assisted me vigorously blamed me as a customer and lied to me for not delivering the order. If what he said were true, then why would my tracking say “completed.” They knew that the order never got delivered, so why exactly would the app mark the order as “completed”.
I told him that I hadn’t received a call from the driver at all. I have proof on my phone that shows the driver never called. I also have a hidden camera in-front of my house which shows the driver never coming at all.
When I told the man on the phone this, he said that it still was my fault and the driver did call my phone. Which was an obvious lie to cover up the fact that he never came. During the closing of our conversation, I told the man “ I understand, but since this was a misunderstanding, can you please make sure the food will be delivered hot ?” Instead of reassuring me , he aggressively stated that the food will not be hot because it was closing time. He also added “ Make sure you pick up the phone this time when we call you “. This man tried to manipulate the conversation and play victim to make it seem as if I was the one who didn’t pick up the call, when I’m reality, no one ever called me for the order to begin with. That’s how I knew everything was a lie because it all adds up that they were trying to rush the order to leave. The name of the delivery man is “Amina”.
I am heart broken to see this is the kind of service that Domino’s in Valley stream has to offer. I hope that there will be a solution to the horrible...
Read moreOnce again, I had another terrible experience with this location. On Sunday 3/15/20, I placed an order consisting of 2 large pizzas, 14 wings, and a 2-Liter Diet Coke. When I sent my Father to pick up the order, they did NOT provide him with the soda. When he returned, I immediately called the store to let them know that we were missing the soda. I was told that basically it was our fault because my Father had to "grab the soda" himself. They would not even issue a refund for the $3.49! However, after speaking to a Manager, he assured me that he would place a Note in the system that I was owed a 2-Liter soda ,so that the next time I place an order they would provide it to me. Today, 3/22/20, I placed another order online and immediately called to remind them about the soda. The first guy I spoke to said he pulled up the order from last week and saw the Note I was referring to, and said they would include it in the delivery. 2 minutes later I get a phone call from someone else at the store telling me they would not be able to honor my request. He was also trying to tell me that there was no note in the system left by last weeks manager, and that the only previous order he sees was from back in 2016!!??? This is ABSURD. I even pulled up the damn order # from last Sunday's email while I had him on the line and provided it to him. He still insisted that the order could not be found. Ohhh and to make matters worse, he tells me that the number i called from is not on file and does not bring up any orders!!!!???? I've had the same freaking number since 2003 and it is the ONLY PHONE NUMBER ON MY DOMINOS PROFILE. At this point, I was so turned off and furious I did not even want the order anymore so I had them Cancel it. The managers here at this location are not even helpful, what a joke. They are willing to lose a customer over $3.49? Now I think I remember why I stopped coming here awhile ago. It was foolish of me to give this place a 2nd chance. We are in the middle of a god damn pandemic and this is how they treat a customer who just placed 2 orders back to back? They can keep their $3.49...sounds like they need it more than I do. I been using the app for the last two years to get food delivered. Today, I went in and I’m glad I did. Upon arrival I notice the gentleman who adds the toppings to the pizza as well as the gentleman who runs the oven; prep pizzas with no gloves on. That is absolutely disgusting, I have had no issues with this store or my food but to realize that this is probably normal I’m sick to my stomach . Literally witnessed the gentleman wipe sweat off his forehead ! No proper PPE is being utilized, The staff acts as if we are doing them a favor and the delivery drivers always beg for tips even when tipped on the app.
Dominoes customer support wouldn’t let me send them a email either. Figured I give people a heads up before someone gets seriously sick.
Not using proper PPE can affect many customers health. Definitely is a DOH violation. Increases the spread of viruses / bacteria. After the pandemic you would think they would sanitize and wash as well as proper PPE. When I mentioned that employees need to wear gloves when handling food he handed me my order and stared at me like he did not understand one thing I said. This is an absolute shame and disgusting. Hopefully Leadership / Management can enforce proper procedures and corporate policies fixing these violations.
