I was very dissatisfied and disappointed at the end of all of it and won’t be going back anytime soon because even though the fries are good, “they ain’t all that.”
My wife and I haven’t been to Five Guys in quite some time and paid over $40 for two kind of overdone double burgers, two shakes (There is only one size, if that is of any interest) and one large order of fries. The fries and shakes were decent. To say that my wife and I had some degree of stickers shock is an understatement.
We both agreed that for that much money we could have gone to quite a few sit down restaurants, all within a few minutes of this location, AND not only have been served at a table but also gotten a couple of beers and much better food and atmosphere.
The interior was clean in a general sense, mostly due to how much white is visible in their decor but the tables were definitely much less than clean. It seemed like they rely on their patrons to wipe them down with the dry napkins after they eat, which we did as a matter of habit. The problem is that the peanut shell creates crumbs and dust and peanut shell skins, along with the spilled salt and other things from the food needs more than that.
I also had to ask after our shakes when I saw, a few minutes after getting our food, that no one was even looking at or attending to the shake making station. The person giving out the food had to double back after I asked about them to...
Read moreterrible terrible employee service terrible delivery service terrible terrible manager service who I did not get to get her name because she did not have a name tag on. I placed an order at 4:15 PM about an hour later I was told that my order was canceled and I will receive my refund in 4 to 5 business days like as if I got $75 laying around. I called up and simply ask them if I can go and get my order I was told yes. I had to send my fiancé at around 630 to go and pick up my order for I had to go to work. My job is very very serious and fortunately so I did not get a chance to go and pick it up myself. My fiancé is staring the order down right in front of her and was told by the manager that the employee was misinformed and cannot give us the order. I again asked if I can Pay for it again I was told no and was told I can wait for freshly made food. Again I have been waiting for two hours was told by an employee to come and pick up your order and my order was all out canceled for the hassle she should’ve just given me my order underneath a different payment. They denied me so what are they going to do with the extra food throw it out what a waste? Once again terrible terrible service I can throw a baseball at the store front that’s how close I live and will now be going to a different five guys to order my food. NOW I HAVE TO WATSE 145 dollars until I get my 75 dollars back 4 to 5...
Read moreI love five guys food. Their hotdogs are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Their hamburgers are good. Unfortunately the main problem I have is with their portions and to some extent their pricing.
A hotdog or a hamburger will cost you around $10. That’s not too bad but my bigger issue is the fries. A small order of fries here is like buying a large order of fries at McDonald’s.
A small order of fries has roughly 530 cal. A regular order of fries is 950 cal. A large large order of fries is 1310 cal. I wish they had something smaller than the “little” fries. About half the price would make them around three dollars for an order. You can get the taste of fries without having to spend six dollars for twice the amount that you actually want.
A burger, fries and a soda is going to cost you about $20.
Two hotdogs, fries and a soda will cost you over $30.
A burger, hotdog, fries and a soda will cost you $30 or more.
Why is there no value meal?
The other issue I have is that there are some omissions from the Fixins that you can put on your food. They don’t have hot/spicy onions, for example.
Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the food here and the service. The atmosphere is decent like an old-school...
