Harvest House Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

On Aug 2 , Today is we were there again. This was not our first time at this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was by far the worst. There was feather in everything — including the cutlery and the food — which made it impossible for us to eat. It was truly disturbing to find feather in multiple items.

To make matters worse, the staff rushed us to leave, even though this evening was supposed to be a special one for us. We were completely disappointed by the experience and the lack of basic hygiene and hospitality.

First visit. My wife and I recently stopped by Harvest House, a new local spot we’ve been eager to try, and we were absolutely blown away by the meal. As someone who’s extremely picky about burgers—especially their temperature—I was thrilled with the Harvest Burger. Cooked to juicy, medium-rare perfection with just the right char, it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The balance of flavors, from the smoky patty to the fresh toppings, was spot-on.

But the real showstopper? The Grilled Octopus. Wow. Tender, slightly crispy at the edges, and paired with a bright, creamy tahini and lemon vinaigrette, it was an unforgettable dish. My wife couldn’t stop raving about it, and I kept sneaking bites from her plate—next time, I’m absolutely ordering my own!

Harvest House Tavern is an absolute gem! This farm-to-table restaurant is truly something special. A True Gentleman, Chris, along with his partners and an incredibly talented chef, has brought a masterpiece to life. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and intimate, perfect for a cozy night out, yet its flavors and menu make a BIG statement. I chose to celebrate my birthday dinner here last month, and Jumped at the chance to book a reservation for upcoming Valentine's Day Dinner with my wife. The moment you step in, you feel the passion behind every dish, from the carefully curated recipes to the outstanding specialty drinks that complement the experience perfectly.

I had the stuffed pork chop for my entrée, and let me tell you...it was hands down the best pork chop I've ever had the pleasure of indulging in! Every bite was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and left a lasting impression. The menu is creative, the ingredients are fresh, and you can tell that everything is made with love and attention to detail.
