Been wanting to try this spot for months & finally had the time this morning. Since I was solo, sitting at the counter was best cause it was about to get busy, and they needed every table & chair for groups. All the servers & staff were attentive and helpful, and they didn't hesitate to clean up before being told. Very well oiled machine. Richie, the owner, was everywhere all at once. Seating new patrons, taking orders, bringing meals, checking if you're doing okay, and the consummate Field General directing his staff. Ordered the skirt steak & pesto eggs with marble rye toast and it was delicious 😋 👌🏾 A lil' oj & peppermint tea to round it out. Was so hungry I forgot to take pics of the food 🤷🏾‍♂️ Highly recommend this quaint diner. Will definitely be back. #LocalGem #theresthatfoodie

Cute old town spot serving up classic diner food in a cozy environment. While pretty unassuming from the street, as soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a very cute pink and mint green decor, that feels right out of the past. There’s tables, small booths, and stools at the counter, and the staff is super welcoming and friendly. The food is what you would expect from classic diner fare, the breakfast being extra oily but solid. There are lots of options for full meals, down to even 8ish types of toast. Definitely worth a visit for the vibes and clsssic feel!

Amazing staff, fun atmosphere, been going there my whole life with friends and family. Never a bad meal, everything is always fresh and absolutely delicious—not once did I leave disappointed. Jerry is a lovely family friend and we love supporting him and his staff! Awesome and always memorable place all-around, hoping to come back again when I return home in December! 💚

Short version (for those that dont want to read too much): If you're looking for a top end breakfast or brunch:

You need to find something higher quality.

If you're looking for a basic breakfast and going with people who just want eggs and bacon, you need to find something cheaper.

Longer version: Details of my experience:

I wanted to like this place but it just didn't deliver. With 4.6 rating, I figured this would be a solid spot, but it was a major letdown.

The environment was nice, can't complain about that. The service was okay, not amazing, but not bad either.

The food was mediocre at best, especially considering the price point. We ordered a cappuccino, orange juice, biscuits and gravy, French toast with cream and berries and a side of corned beef hash, after tip, it was $60. Which is a lot, but okay with me if the food is really good.

To start off, which already gave my meal an instant downgrade is that several strawberries on my French toast were moldy. I am sorry but to overlook a strawberry...fine mistakes happen, but to put 4 or 5 rotten strawberries in my plate means that you just don't care. And honestly, it made me wonder about the remainder of my meal. To me, this is egregious and the primary reason I will not return, because if I am paying 14 dollars for french toast, you need to do better than that. Show some pride!

The biscuits and gravy (plus the grits that came with them) were all below par. Only someone who doesn't really know food would've paid money for it. The gravy was salty, the biscuits didn't seem homemade to me(maybe a frozen biscuit?), and the grits were dry, I could literally slice them with my knife, very little creaminess to them.

My eggs that came with the biscuits and gravy were cooked properly. The corned beef hash was okay, not amazing. The French toast, omitting the horrible strawberries was okay, again, not horrible but not amazing. The cappuccino was also not very good, although it did look nice.

Overall, I just don't see what the menu and execution of the menu had to offer that would make me want to revisit; especially given the service of moldy fruit. I would say come here if you want basic diner food, but at the prices here, you can find a diner that does the...

I will never support this business again. As someone in the restaurant industry I can't even believe what I just experienced. I ordered my 2 year chicken nuggets and sweet potato French fries. It was literally repulsive looking. Everything was burnt and stuck to eachother like a big blob. My daughter didn't even want to touch it cause it didn't look appetizing and honestly I would never think that is acceptable to send to a table for a person to eat.

I kindly asked to send it back and they still charged me for it because supposedly the boss stated to our waitress "my daughter touched it" also he told the waitress he explained that to us which was a lie. Side note: we touched it to show how everything on the plate was fried together like glue. (If we didn't touch it; we're you going to serve it to someone else?)

The hostess and waitress told me if I wanted to talk to the chef/boss I could. But out of respect because they were busy I paid the bill and walked out. I wish I had a picture to show how disgusting this food looked.

Lack of customer service Food was uneatable Disrespectful charge...

First off, I wanted to say that we initially LOVED this place. The food was great, and the atmosphere was awesome. The service started out great all until the end, when we paid. We paid our bill and tipped what we could, just to be chased out of the restaurant BY OUR SERVER saying that our tip was too shy and was trying to demand us to tip him more. We weren’t fully served by him in the first place, and it is called a TIP for a reason. We gave what we can, just to be harassed by the staff on how much we gave. Honestly, it soured the entire experience, as we are visiting out of state. For this reason solely, I will 100% not come back here, and I urge anyone that doesn’t feel like getting harassed about how much they can give as a TIP to their half waiter to not come here either....
