I picked Lance as my artist due to loving his black & grey work. I am getting a full sleeve done by him, and thus far I have had a total of 4 appointments. The initial consultation, the second appointment was going over images/design ideas, and the last 2 appointments have been actually getting tattooed.
Every step of the process at this shop has been done professionally and exceptionally. Everyone who works at this shop has been extremely helpful, respectful, polite and accommodating. I have not one negative thing to say thus far.
As far as Lance, I don't think I'd ever go to another artist for black & grey work ever again. The design he came up with far exceeded any expectations and surpassed anything I could have EVER conjured up in my own head.
I am only two sessions into a full sleeve, and already his work has blown me away. I could not have found a better artist to get exactly what I wanted, and then some. Not only is his work amazing, but he and I are able to have great conversation the entire way through, to where my session flies by and I have no idea how much time has passed by the end of the session. I feel connecting with your artist is essential to the experience and to getting what you want, and I certainly feel that when getting tattooed by Lance.
The whole experience of Lark Tattoo; the anticipation and excitement driving there, to the friendly people behind the counter, to the actual tattoo experience itself has been incredible, and I get so excited and look forward to the next appointment every time.
I don't believe you can put a price on good work, and the level of artistry, and the quality of the work done at Lark is on a different level and WELL worth it. I cannot recommend this...
Read moreHi to all who are reading this is my truthful review of lark tattoo. My artist was Bruce the owner of lark tattoo. May I say he is an extremely professional tattoo artist who is extremely skilled, talented, and knowledgeable. I told him what I was looking for and he did the sketch and it came out absolutely wonderful. It was my first tattoo and i was nervous the whole time and kind of shifting away from him the whole time in the chair but he is super funny and kind and always tried taking my mind off of it as well as accommodating for me moving around and Is an overall amazing guy. I Have zero regrets choosing Bruce and would definitely recommend to others.
As for the process I don’t live close and may say am pretty far from where this shop is but regardless I was willing to drive and give it a chance. We set up a consultation and talked the design and cost and dates. The first session I was pretty nervous but Bruce expertly handled it and I was extremely happy with the first session as it was only the outline as seen above. The second session we did the color and to be honest wasn’t 100% positive I would love the outcome but can confidently say that I am completely infatuated with it now that it is done. Absolutely love the results. They do an amazing job at lark tattoo with everything that they do. Amazing aftercare instructions that were told to me while there and on website in case you need them. Hopefully Bruce reads this because he does excellent work and I would recommend him to anyone wanted...
Read moreI have gotten 4 tattoos at this shop but my most recent will be my last. My prior 3 tattoos have held up great and I never had an issue aside from the fading on my last one. I called the parlor the day prior to going in stating that a tattoo I received less than a year ago was fading heavily despite being so young. I was informed on the phone that the shop provides free touch ups to a tattoo within 2 years of purchase. I was able to get an appointment for the touch up at 1:00 the following day and was worked on for just over 2 hours. I was blindsided at the end when I was informed the price for a free touch up would be 390$. At no point between booking the touch up and the end of the session was I informed of the transition from “free touch up” to “regular session”. It is not right to tell someone that a free touch up is the policy and then charge them money anyway. I do not like that I left the shop feeling like I was scammed out of money instead of taken care of. I spent over 1100$ on the same tattoo 10 months ago, only to have to buy more time to fix it when it faded. I feel I was misled and I am very disappointed with the lack of communication from an artist i have been going to over the course of over four years. Going from being told I was getting touched up for free to spending almost 400$ with no prior mention of cost is simply absurd to me and not how business should be conducted. I also had 100$ deposit that i had to call and have mailed to me since it was not used on either of my last 2...
