The White Whale is a fantastic new addition to Seaford! Located right by the water, the setting is absolutely stunning and gives you that perfect coastal vibe the moment you walk in. The space itself is beautifully designed—bright, open, and welcoming, with attention to every detail. The menu is creative yet approachable, offering a great variety of options for all tastes. I ordered the wedge salad to start and it was crisp, fresh, and full of flavor. For my main dish, I tried the lobster pasta and it was outstanding—perfectly cooked pasta, tender lobster, and a sauce that was rich but not overwhelming. I really loved this place. It was my first time trying it and I brought the whole family. The owner Henriette came out to say hello and welcome us. She recommended the scrod oreganato, a dish I make at home a lot when I go fishing. It was light, flakey, fresh tasting and delicious. The waiter was super nice and patient with my kids, and that's always a big deciding factor for me. They even depleted the bar's supply of orange slices cause my youngest kept whining for more. The food is good and the people were really nice to us, but what I like the best is the unchanged decor. Disappointing Experience at The White Whale ​I was really looking forward to trying The White Whale, but unfortunately, my visit left me disappointed. ​I ordered the lobster, and while I appreciate the effort, the portion of lobster meat was surprisingly small for the price. It felt like there was barely any lobster in the dish. ​I also ordered the clam linguine, which was the other major letdown. The dish lacked flavor and didn't taste fresh at all. It was bland and lacked the savory, garlicky taste you'd expect from a good clam linguine. ​While the location and atmosphere were nice, the food simply didn't live up to expectations.
