This is our second time visiting Jugnoos restaurant, and we wanted to see if the portion size this time was as small as last time. The taste is still good, but the portions were not plentiful, and the prices weren't very reasonable.
We ordered the beef paya and chicken curry, but neither dish came with a side. The beef paya, priced at $16.99, contained two pieces of bone, each about 2 inches in size. The chicken curry, as seen in the picture, was served in a small bowl either with visibly little meat inside, priced at $15.99. Since neither dish came with a side, we had to order naan and rice separately, which totaled $8. If the rice and naan were included with each dish, we might find it more acceptable. Naan tastes very authentic and fresh.
Basically, everything was purchased separately, like water. Overall, despite the food tasting decent, the portions were small, and the prices were high, making it less worthwhile. Additionally, there wasn't much service since we had to pick up our food from the counter. Despite these factors, we still left an 18% tip, bringing the total...
Read moreI can't stop raving about Jugnoos! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. We ordered naan-paya and biryani and were very skeptical first but stunned on the first bite. The aroma of authentic spices filled the air, and our taste buds were tantalized from the first bite of the paya, the tandoori naan were so authentic I felt I was eating in Lahore. Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, and the biryani was a true masterpiece, with fragrant rice and perfectly cooked chicken. The food was not a typical restaurant food, this was premium quality home-made food, no shortcuts! Waiting was so much worth it!
The service was impeccable, with the owners going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. For an unforgettable dining experience filled with delicious food and exceptional service, look no further than Jugnoos!
Alhumdolillah finally a good halal restaurant, family owned and home-made...
Read moreI was craving for authentic Pakistani restaurants ever since my move to NY, but couldnt find any in my vicinity. One of my very good friends recommended Jugnoos a few weeks back, so I was wanted to try its food in person. It was an absolute pleasure meeting the owners, Asif Uncle and Shagufta Aunty at their restaurant today!! They both welcomed me with warmth and affection. I ordered Chicken Karahi with Nan as my main dish and it was so up to point👌 For dessert, I had Gulab Jaman, which was a cherry on the top. The ambiance was pretty decent too. I am planning to visit again for desi breakfast mainly halwa puri🤗 and Chai!!
Highly recommended !!! This place needs much more recognition for the owner’s hospitality and authenticity. (P.s I got Kheer (rice pudding) as a complimentary free dessert in the end as well😊)
Update: I revisited for having authentic Pakistani breakfast (chai, halwa puri, cholay aloo salan) and the taste was just...
