Patty Shack — Restaurant in Town of Henrietta

The reviews seemed promising. Everything smelled DELICIOUS. They use an actual flame grill for their burgers which I LOVE. I was looking forward to it, but…

The cooks wear gloves, and here is the problem. The cook that was handling the raw meat products (beef, bacon, etc.) did not change his gloves between raw meat product, and fresh food product, or handling any other items in the kitchen. He also used both hands to handle his phone…with the same dirt gloves; then went right back to food handling. For the 20-ish minutes that I was in there. I watched the cook touch every single thing in the kitchen, food item or not, with the same dirty gloves. I understand eating at restaurants that we cannot see. Who knows what’s going on back there, but to know that customers can see the food preparation and still choose to cross contaminate the food and the entire kitchen…I was immediately grossed out.

He grabbed the fresh fries like a claw with the dirty glove and I couldn’t even bring myself to eat the burger or the fries when I got back to work.

I’m super disappointed and hate wasting food. This would have been a great place to grab a burger and fries especially because the pricing for the combos is very reasonable...

Found this place last Summer when I took my family to YoLickity's next door, and they soon became a regular stop for delicious fast food and friendly service. They made an awesome Italian sausage sandwich, which became my favorite of the many choices on their menu. We are seasonal in Rochester, so I had not had the opportunity to visit the restaurant for several months until recently. I stopped in today with a strong desire for that Italian sausage sandwich that I came to love so much, only to find that it had been discontinued. Looking further, I noticed that the menu has had some considerable changes made to it, and it is evident that there has been a change in ownership/management. I opted for a couple of cheeseburgers for my wife and I, which were OK and not too pricey, but I have to say that the quality is not what I've experienced in the past. The place was clean, the gentleman behind the counter who prepared our food was friendly, and I would not in any way steer anyone away from this establishment, but if you're looking for the restaurant that was here last year, you might be a bit disappointed in...

Went here this past Wednesday with my fiancée for a burger. Walked in and there were no customers at all, but the guy behind the counter was cooking some food with his AirPod on in one ear. We stood there for several minutes before he even looked up, and when he did he didn’t even acknowledge us and went back to cooking and then came to help us minutes later.

We ordered our food and then when it was ready, the guy didn’t even let us know it was ready or anything, he just put the food on the counter. It’s like he either didn’t like us or his job or both, not sure but he definitely had an attitude. And then somebody else walked in and he was friendly to them so I know he wasn’t having a bad day either.

The food itself was good. I had a double cheeseburger with bacon and mozzarella sticks and my fiancée also had a burger with fries and those were good as well.

I would definitely not come back here again because of how we were treated. There are way too many other burger places like Shake Shack, Five Guys, etc. to be getting treated with an attitude. 1 star for service and 5 stars...
