This place is so small. A 15 minute wait turned into a 35 minute wait. You need to call ahead to make a reservation. We didn't know & suffered the consequences lol. We finally sat down and waited another 20 minutes for our drinks! I'm not sure if they are short staffed but they were all over the place. Do yourself the favor & order everything at once while you have the waitor there because you won't see them again for God knows how long. They blast music so they act like they cant hear you calling them. They are all in the back kitchen! We sat down at 4:45 and left at 7:20 WE DIDNT EAT OUR MAIN COURSE BECAUSE THEY TOOK FOREVER!!!! I WAS SO CONFUSED WHY BECAUSE ALL I ORDERED WAS simple rice and chicken!!!!! BY THE TIME WE SPOKE TO SOMEONE WE ASKED FOR OUR MEALS TO GO!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! There were 3 people working there! One behind the bar acting like she don't see or hear anyone and the other two running around singing happy birthday while there are customers literally waiting hours starving! This place is backwards!! Never again! Unfortunately my FAVORITE candela spot located in huntington is currently closed! If im not mistaking they are re locating :( please hurry up and open!! These other...
Read moreI’ve been passing by for awhile so decided to stop for dinner with my daughter and have Peruvian food for the first time. We were greeted the moment we walked in by a father and som duo entertaining guests playing the pan flute (totally adorable and so talented). We enjoyed the live music so much and lots of enjoyable tunes including The Beatles, George Michael, Elton John - the hits kept coming! We started with a glass of wine which was generously poured. We each ordered the cilantro chicken soup, which was delicious and included an entire chicken thigh in the soup. We shared and entree, chicken and peppers over linguini. It wasn’t what we were expecting and to be honest tasted like Chinese Chicken lo mein when we were hoping for a unique Peruvian flavor. But it was tasty enough. We finished with tres leches cake with caramel. It didn’t taste homemade, but it was tres leches, and we ate the whole thing. Overall a nice experience, friendly staff, live music, and very reasonably priced for the size of the dishes....

When I received my meal, I found the skirt steak meat was hard and undercooked, so I asked the waiter to cook it more. Also, despite me being Peruvian, it did not taste like it was not even close to authentic Peruvian flavors. However, the waiter seemed annoyed and offered no apologies or replacements. The dish and juice cost me almost $40. I left without an apology and felt highly disappointed. I will not be returning to...
