I have been to Italy 🇮🇹 5x so far, and last night felt like the 6th time. Found a restaurant in Commack called MaBella. Unlike most Italian restaurants, where everything winds up tasting the same, MaBella produces the most individually flavorful sauces for each dish. For appetizers, we had baked littleneck clams. They were prepared whole and were amazingly flavorful. Breadcrumb crust complimented, never overwhelmed. We also had the zucchini flowers which arrived at table bright and completely intact. They looked like they just picked them off the vine. The filling was first rate, freshest we've had and the fry-coating was so light and airy. Most places tend to over batter, not at MaBella. Family owned restaurant with a personal greeting for every guest, and it shows in everything they do to make your dining experience unique. I ordered on the menu... Bella's Scarparella,. The owner came over to personally introduce himself and ask how I would like my dish prepared, then offered some suggestions and made it an incredible dish. Their pomodoro reminds of the best I've had in Rome. My wife had the Veal Scaloppini Francese. I was lucky enough to taste it . The veal melted in your mouth. This place is a hidden gem. I will definitely be back. Don't miss this restaurant if you want a true Italian experience that takes you back to the homeland, while respecting your wallet. Wish I could give it...

Friends introduced us to Frank and Maria and this restaurant 4 months ago. We ate there twice and I suggested my daughter have our granddaughter’s Communion dinner there. We were beyond pleased. It was a wonderful finale to a beautiful event on a very rainy day. Thank you for making Madelyn’s day a complete success. Maria was our host that day and she accommodated 20 family members including one wheelchair with kindness and dignity. Everything was delicious. Antipasto was pre arranged and served quickly after we arrived. Each ordered course was served by many waitstaff at the same time so we could all eat the hot foods together. The pasta was great and my veal marsala was so tender and delicious- no knife needed - as it should be. Everyone enjoyed their food choices, drinks and dessert. They also accommodated a Vegan request. We were not rushed and it was a most pleasant Saturday afternoon event. Thanks again from the Rankin and Marchione families and to the Medico’s for helping us discover your fine restaurant. We will be back...

A reminder of how much I miss the cuisine of NY. MaBella is a relaxing and family friendly eatery that serves the finest and freshest Italian food at affordable prices. The food was truly excellent: authentic flavors, yet innovative, and beautifully presented. Frank and Maria are the owners and Frank is also the highly talented head chef. He greeted us shortly after being seated and checked in again after we began to indulge in our meals. The Canelini Cakes appetizer served in a perfect pink sauce were selected from the specials menu. They were delectable and flavorful. I hope these quickly transition to the regular menu for daily offering. Tomato and mozzarella salad was fresh and beautifully presented and the Pollo Bisentino was the perfect choice for an entree. The staff make you feel at home and the interior is charming and inviting. I will look forward to another wonderful dining experience on my...

I had never heard of MaBella before my good friend suggested we have dinner here. She had already been here a few weeks prior and raved about how good the food was. Funny enough, we actually sat at the same table she sat at last time. I made a reservation the night before and i’m glad I did; the place seemed to fill up very quickly. I ordered the shrimp parm ($27) and my friend ordered the penne ala vodka ($17). $17 for just pasta seemed a little high to me. Nonetheless, the shrimp had a nice crisp texture and sauce was really good. Was not really a fan of the pasta that came on the side—it was okay. It reminded me of angel hair and I really don’t like that type of noodle. However, the meal as a whole was really delicious!

I ordered FRANKIE’S VEAL SCALOPPINI topped w/ breaded eggplant proscuitto, melted mozzarella and brown sauce with a side of penne vodka. Very fresh and full of flavor! The veal was so tender it melted in your mouth. I ordered it to go so the pictures are in the to go containers. The brown sauce was full of flavor which was great to dip your Italian bread in that comes with the meal. The sauce was just the right amount so the dish wasn’t soupy. The portion of the actual veal was 3 small cutlets a 4th would of helped because it was so good it left you wanting more!!! When I went to pick up my food the place was packed! So you know they are doing something right! Amazing food! Can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes!
