I had the pleasure of visiting Tex Chicos Mex in Commack for their open day, and wow — this place came out swinging! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was electric — upbeat music, warm greetings from the staff, and the smell of fresh tortillas filling the air.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was bursting with authentic Mexican flavor, but with a fun Tex-Mex twist. The tacos were perfectly seasoned and loaded with fresh toppings, the guacamole was creamy with just the right kick, and the birria quesadillas were nothing short of life-changing. The salsas ranged from mild and tangy to bold and spicy — all clearly made fresh in-house. I had the birra tacos and it was to die for. Looking forward to eating here again The service was just as impressive as the food. Even with the big grand-opening crowd, the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to share their food with everyone. You could tell they take pride in what they serve. Amazing Food & Exceptional Service! I had a fantastic experience at Chico’s Tex-Mex! The food was flavorful, fresh, and served hot, exactly what you’d hope for in Mexican food. I work at the Meat farms and would always go to burrito loco for my lunch break. When Chicos bought them out in December I was bummed cus I couldn’t get my usual lunch for about 6 months until chicos finally opened, but it was definitely worth the wait.
