Ok but really… Who is running this place? This place is a health code disaster. My husband and I went to dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. We did not make a reservation in advance so we walked in and were happy to learn there were booths at the bar, first come first serve. Upon sitting down our table was already not properly cleaned from the previous guests. The staff was not friendly or welcoming and annoyed that we wanted to sit at the bar area. Our silverware and plates were visibly dirty. Our waiter came and we asked if we could order our drinks and meal all at once, since we were hungry. Our waiter told us no, we will get drinks first. When he poured my husbands beer he noticed the glass was dirty so he went to get another. (Obviously some dirty dish issues at this location- so gross)! We finally ordered and waited over an hour for our food to come out- food was good but not the best from Ruth Chris. My steak was raw- I ordered medium and had to send it back. The second time it came out it was still too pink, but I didn’t send it back again. The wait for our food was long, BUT- we got a show with our entire time here. The bar was extremely backed up, orders were printing for drinks and hitting the dirty non mopped floor. Bar tenders touching garnishes with bare hands and picking up drink tickets from the floor at the same time and then touching the rims of your glasses. Multiple waiters cursing and mumbling under their breath that this is insane and they will quit. Multiple people slipping on the floor as drinks were being spilled everywhere. There was one bartender making drinks for an entire restaurant. She was visibly stressed and at one point reached a mental breakdown and needed to walk out. She kept stressing to the bar-backs that they were out of juices, garnishes, and glasses and no one helped her to get those items. Heads up, don’t order a Martini! They are low on glasses at this location. Manager said the martinis will be the end of him! How can you enjoy a meal when the entire staff is screaming at eachother. I visited the bathroom in which all 3 stalls had not one square of toilet paper. The poor woman in the stall next to me stressed that she needed toilet paper for her daughter. I was able to give her some paper towels. This is unacceptable. The entire bar area was so extremely dirty as you can see in the photos! This is not the service / atmosphere you want when paying a premium price. This was an extremely special occasion for my husband and I and we feel we could have gotten a better experience at Applebees. There is no organization at this location. We will not be returning to this location, or to Ruth Chris for a while after tonight’s ordeal. Terrible service and cleanliness! Go to Garden City instead. At least we had some laughs, especially thanks to sitting by the end of the bar where all the gossip from the waiters was going on. Get it...
Read moreMy FIL (father in law) wanted to check out this spot to celebrate my hubby passing an important exam. We had reservations for 7:30PM on a November Friday night.
The parking lot (free) was pretty packed when we arrived although inside seemed like it could fit more people (place became more packed toward the end of our meal). We were seated right away. The front staff were very pleasant. The decor was very pretty inside although slightly dark.
Our server was Saad who was very nice and attentive. Hubby got the Cowboy Ribeye with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. FIL got the 16 Oz Ribeye with a side of Sweet Potato Casserole. I got the Lobster Mac and Cheese. My toddler got the Roasted Chicken with Fries off the Children's Menu. Now that I think of it, there was a dessert listed on the Children's Menu (doubles as a little coloring page and came with two crayons) but I'm not sure if it was included in the $19 price or if it was an add on. If it was included in the $19 price, we never got the ice cream. However, we did get a complimentary Cheesecake for celebrating hubby's accomplishment so that was a very nice, unexpected surprise!
We got some delicious freshly baked bread and spread for the table while waiting for our food. Hubby's entrée was huge and he was very happy with it. FIL's entrée didn't seem that big but he was definitely full after eating it and couldn't finish his side dish. Both the side dishes of Garlic Mashed and Sweet Potato Casserole was a good amount and filling. FIL loved the Sweet Potato Casserole. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was very creamy. The lobster itself was a little dry as it was just added on top of the Mac and Cheese but if you mix it into the cheese yourself, it tastes great. My toddler's Roasted Chicken was a decent amount and very juicy and flavorful which I was surprised. I was expecting it to be dry! His Fries were very good too. He also got a little cup of Apple Juice. The homemade Cheesecake was also delicious. Hubby loved the crust they used for it. We did get the leftovers to go which another staff member packed for us right at the table.
Overall, everything was a bit on the pricey side but a nice splurge for a special occasion. We will definitely...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to have Valentine’s Day dinner at Ruth Chris this year. Suffice to say we didn’t love it and won’t be going back.
We had a 9pm reservation and were seated at 9:10. Our server got us our drinks right away and gave a great wine recommendation. We had our order put in for dinner around 9:20pm
We did not get our entrees until 10:45!!! It was over an HOUR for two petite steaks with lobster tails, side of lobster Mac and cheese, and a side of broccoli. We were starving and ate what we could when the food finally came; unfortunately, some of the food wasn’t even edible.
It’s $20 to add a lobster tail to an entree, which we both did. The lobster tails were like rubber and so tough we could barely eat either of them. The lobster Mac and cheese tasted like artificial cheese and had no flavor at all. The broccoli was steamed and had no salt or anything on it also. Incredibly bland.
We asked the server if we could have our desserts to go because we both had to be at work early the next morning, and were expecting to be having coffee and desert at the time the entrees finally came out. She commented multiple times that we were “rushing to get out of here” as we asked for our check and desert to go. Of course we were! At that point it was past 11pm.
We complained to the server about the long wait time for our entrees - we waited over an hour and 20 minutes from the time the food was ordered and it hit the table.
When we got the check, nothing was knocked off of the bill despite waiting an hour for our food on Valentine’s Day. Our server even admitting to us that this was “such a fluke” as everyone around us was getting their food before we did (some who were sat well after we sat down) We won’t be returning. Such a disappointing dinner, despite the expense and...
