Well, long ago, my dad (a longtime grade school principal) said that "for a buck, be a hero.' (That was 30 years ago. ) But, u people are smart. (Especially if ur reading MY post!!) 📚 lol. In other words, throw servers, bartenders, etc., an extra $ or 2. Lotsa times, I do it b4 my meal....u know.... handing service people, money.... servers, barpeople, even the proprietor(s) when given a great table. (Which of course means different things to different people...)
Well, it didn't work, not AT ALL Not here. Had to get up several times ... from the table....to get water refills, order cocktails, etc. Food was good-ish. Fun for the kids, tho.
U know the deal.
Agh. I'm not going back.
(Sorry, Simon! You were very sweet and obviously, Saturday nite busy,) But I was hosting a surprise party (11 in attendance), and all I asked of u was for everything to run smoothly and perfectly. And to have HOT food. That's all.
So I slid a $50 bill in your hand (u seemed shocked) as I intruded myself... as SOON as I walked in. We'd spoken on the phone a week earlier.
No one knew where to take me to tie balloons to chairs, etc. A nd even when we (you) finally figured out to show me to "table 9"....well. There were so many plates and chairs there that were unessasary. Remember? Ruby helped rearrange 'things,' etc., but for the most part, I did it myself. (Oh! That was after giving Ruby a few extra bucks, too!)
Sam, behind the bar, made better than average cocktail.
Ughhhh.
Usually, if I take the time to post a review, ITIS A HUNDRED PERCENT wonderful.
I'm so sorry that this isn't one of them.
Nice decor, though. (Oh! And u call those little square cubes of chewy steak 'filet mignon??????
Most importantly, we had fun. And the birthday crowns are a great touch!@@!!!!
Wishing you...

We did a hibachi night tonight (with reservations) and it was as fun as ever and we enjoyed being back. We did curbside takeout through the pandemic, but it just tastes better when it's fresh off the grill! Glad they're still in operation and thriving, so it seems based on the crowd. Do yourself a favor and make reservations or you'll miss out.
Update #1: Still loving this place years in since we first went in person, and months into the pandemic, during which we've done takeout. They're still offering curbside pickup, which is super convenient now that parking is getting harder in the village as more people are going out again. Tonight I ordered and went to do curbside pickup. It was taking a little longer than they had estimated, so the server came out to let me know. When he came out with my food, he also comped me a free sake for my time waiting. I thought this was such a nice touch. Really appreciate that they valued my time and thank them for doing the right thing for their customers! :) This will always be a good business decision!
Here's my former review, still valid:
We go here for the hibachi every time our daughter passes her TKD belt test. The servers and hibachi chefs are friendly and accommodating. Hubby and I order takeout sushi from here at least once or twice a month. Good selection and they'll even bring it to your car if you call in once you...
Read moreWorst hibachi experience I’ve ever had on Long Island. As a party of 12 one of our members was 10 min late due to the lack of parking around the restaurant and they kept pressing us to order before everyone was present. One member of our party has an allergy, his food was brought out 20 min before they even started preparing anyone else’s meal and it was cold. I had to stop the waitress everytime I needed a drink as they would just run past and never even glance at the table otherwise. The chef himself didn’t engage out party at all he simply kept to himself made the food and left. Not a single joke he didn’t throw any silly stuff at my mouth or anything. The chicken was extremely dry as I just assumed I would get sauce with it like any other place I’ve ever been to. We then wanted to order dessert and were meet with a very upset waitress who seemed to want us gone before we even sat down at a table. Again we were a party of 12 and spent well of $500 to feel as though we were being rushed out the door even though they had 3 empty tables behind us. On top of all this they force you to tip 20% because they obviously know they wouldn’t get that much otherwise. I have been to countless other hibachi restaurant on LI and in the city and this by far had the least friendly staff and least entertaining chef. If you have the opportunity to go anywhere else I would skip on this place unless you like...
